I owned and operated a small business out of Virginia and grew.
Met with HGDS, to install 3rd party merchandise into retail outlets (# 1 customer PHILIP MORRIS (pm),BLOCKBUSTER, Radio Shack, PROCTOR & GAMBLE DISPLAYS, Pella Windows, Skoal and other smokless tobacco racks in retail locations and grew into a big business.
The first 2-3 years were ok, very SLOW paying. We had contractor meetings, and tele-conf frequently, about $$$ issues...
I took over a PHILIP MORRIS WAREHOUSE 10k sf. And promised to pay for PM's STORAGE, for what I took over. After the years flew, and the promises continued, I had to put my foot down. I contacted other contractors with the same issues, that were contracted to HGDS, no one would join me. ( All talk no action)...
We spent weeks going through our paperwork, and they owed us over $80,000.00+++ for installations, travel, hotel, food and Extended Storage.
In a meeting @ Arlington Heights office ( (PM) Philip Morris)) we have received 2.2 million for you guys and we'll split it up evenly, I STOOD AND DECLINED IT you guys have my paperwork and I want my $$$... 80k was a huge number for us we have bills and UNWANTED FREIGHT, just a small company trying to GROW. I spent my sweat and blood for HGDS and they refused to pay...
We have COMPLETE documentation for everything... I hired several Law firms , went to D&B they got me 8k and HGDS said nothing else. They said they would keep me in court for years, like we could afford to travel back and forth.
What else does one due, no big $$$ coming in we're getting work, cant cover the expences, calling everyday to hold off the charge card folks, and you have to do the unthinkable, dump yourself into a Chapter 7 and ruin your life.
I have send countless letters to Bible CEO PM never received a reply. When you get the SHAFT you want to give it back. HGDS received a negative MARK from B&D,many others from much lager firms and Corporations...

I'm curretly searching for other contractors from Hub Group Date ranges from 1997 through 2002 to join us in collection what is owed. We have every email, quoting yes we are going to Pay your company what is owed in full... Are we wasting our time with this? Hell No... We would like a law firm to step forward in our search for what is due to us, $80,000.00 + 7 years intrest com on step up to the plate and get your share...
