I got the package with the junk mail today. it told me the card will arrive in 25 MORE business days. i went to my bank and took care of the Federal Regulation E form, and then i noticed something. they say it comes in 25 business days. i recieved my package 30 DAYS after my debit date. the letter inside said wait another 25 days for the card. now, if it works the same way, the card would come in 30 days, or even more! that totals 60 days, give or take. reading the advice on this page, it says it is very difficult to file a claim with regulation E after 60 days. if this company is as fraudulent as they seem, here is how it might work with an uninformed victim: 1)they debit your account, lets say on the first of the month, for 250 bucks. 2) 25-30 business days go by as you wait for the package 3)the package tells you to wait 25 more business days for the actual card. 4) i havent let it get this far, but i'm theorizing that the card does not come after 25 business days. so the uninformed victim is like: "hey, where is it?" so they try calling guardian, and try other things for a few days. EVEN if they learn about regulation E, by then in many cases, it is too late or too much of a hassle. they give up and guardian keeps their money. here's the equation: 30 days for package telling you to wait for card + 25 days you wait for the card, until you realize it isnt ther = 55 days + (let's say 7) days you try to contact guardian = grand total of 62 days this is only an estimate. but in the end, i believe this company strategically makes you wait long enough so that unless you are hardcore with your bank, they keep the $250.
