Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

We purchased a timeshare from Vida Vacation club or Grupo Mayan (their website was under grupo mayan before but now it says vida vacation club.) We purchased because we were promised that we would be able to sell another timeshare we owned to pay for this one and that we would then only have Mayan Grupo as a timeshare and they had better benefits, i.e better trade in versus with Wyndham. (A lie because they work with Wyndham)

We were offered a list of vaction ownership rental and resale companies. We went with Alliance Integrated marketing systems and gave them an upfront fee of $349.00, we were told that they were selling to individuals in latin America so that they can come to US to visit and it was easier due to property. As of today March 9th no news. I've been diligent about calling every month since our purchase in 2009 this company, then every 6 months, and now every year. Still nothing.
They did a great job and gave us a million reasons why it was going to sell.  It has been much longer than the times they have quoted and we now realize this is never going to sell.  We have contacted them but have basically been told to bad you signed a contract.  There are many more problems with this and we are looking for help to fix the problems.

We've not even gone back to use our resort because of the fear that we would be scammed again into something else. We want to cancel our contract get our money back since we have not gotten anything from this purchase. Have not used the HSI, SFX benefits. Not even sure if they are benefits.

I bought a Mayan Palace timeshare in my early 20s and it was one of the worst financial mistakes I ever made. I never intended to buy it, but I cannot suckered into going to a presentation to get free show tickets when I was in Puerto Vallarta. The high-pressure sales person convinced me to sign on the dotted line, and I ended up with a timeshare. It was one of the hardest things to get rid of, and I lost about $20,000 in the process. It was an expensive lesson learned.

I just visited the Mayan Palace in Cancun and I regretted so much, at first I was happy because I thought I made a good mayan palace timeshare deal but I didn't, actually I was going to bring my friends from Miami next month for them to see the resort and I am very happy that I'm not going to do it. They told me that they can sell 2 of my weeks a year and I call them and is all lies they told me that I have to do that. I just can't believe I spent 7000.00 in nothing. Do not believe them, they do not care and if you ask them for time to finance with ur bank they say they can't and you won't be able to go back in five yrs. u have to do the deal in the same day and *** us we did it but I will make sure that other people won't make the same mistake than us.

We were also scammed with a Mayan Palace Timeshare. They claim they don't misrepresent themselves. Yet the promises and the drinks ease you into signing. Once you've done that, you are screwed. Through all the other initials on your contract, you realize you initialled, that they don't misrepresent themselves. Now you are up the creek. We had 2 timeshares they claimed that Alliance marketing would sell for us in 3 months max.

We would recoup the money we paid at the Grand Luxxe and would net out ahead of the game. Well 15 months later, I am out $30k and I still have the original timeshares. I have also not heard a word from Alliance marketing in several months. Plus I found out they are a marketing group, thus not legally allowed to sell. I have had to take a 2nd mortgage out on my house. All the answers I have seen from the Mayan on various websites show they are not at all interested in helping out. Do they not have a concious?

My husband and I  purchased  a Mayan palace timeshare, when we arrived at home my husband saw several negative comentarios on the internet, so we decided to call to cancel our timeshare, but we were out of our 5 rescission period, we didn't know what to do, we had been calling to the resort but they always said that our salesman and the sales manager were not available and they never returned our our calls. Fortunately enough, we were able to cancel, i recommend you to read this article from Mexican Timeshare Solutions  on how to get out of a mayan palace scam:
