Great Value Vacations, (aka Sceptre Tours,  Dan Dooley Vacations, Aer Lingus, Global Consolidated Services) has been misrepresenting its services to consumers for years. The list of complaints are endless and the business does not disclose it’s affiliation with it’s others arms in fear of ruining their reputation.  Hidden fees and costs pop up, vacation bundle values are misrepresented by hundreds of dollars, and employees use several different aliases and job titles. The company has no set policies and they flip flop their position depending on if you have actually made a booking with them. Once the booking has been made they turn against you and there is no customer support or service, especially in the consumers interest. They violate common Consumer Protection Act provisions as well as having been fined by the Department of Justice for said practices that they continue to employ in their misrepresentation of fees and services.

 

I was forced into dates that did not work for me or my traveling partner and was told I had to make a decision now or not have options at a later date. I was cornered and strong arm pressured on the phone to add additional days to the package and was lied to about the price of the package that was advertised for. $1399 per person Groupon vouchers($2798) became $3558.48 which is $760.48 over the advertised price!

 

I have no trust left in this company because they were not transparent about who they are, they misrepresent their reputation and identity and hide behind all the names which they do business in.  I do not desire to travel with a company that also cannot define their policies and manipulates it’s customers and strong arms them into paying additional fees and rushes to get the sale, at which point the customer no longer has any rights. A full refund of entire travel expense for the trip scheduled for November 2014 is the only acceptable outcome.
