Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

My parents received a green postcard stating on the top "SPECIAL NOTICE:  Pending cash grant claim $20,978 (DOE)" and then above my name and address was "CLAIMS DOCUMENT REGISTERED TO".  At the bottom of the front of the card, in a box, was "WARNING:  $2,000 fine and/or 5 year imprisonment for interfering or obstructing with delivery, of this letter, US MAIL SECURITY, 1708".  I suppose this is to make everything is on the up and up and actually from the Federal Government.

On the other side of the card, at the top, was "URGENT:  READ IMMEDIATELY."  Then "DELIVERED BY:  Claim Department" and after to whom the document was delivered "NOTICE:  Our office is trying to reach you r4egarding a dispersal of Government Funding."  Next line is "STATUS:  Pending."  The toll free number was given as was a Release Code and a Claim Deadline Date.

My dad asked me to check the company out.  I called and talked with the representative.  She said the "Packet" usuall costs $99.00 but for ME, she would just mail it out for a $12.95 fee.  This is a scam.

The card basically says, " there is $20,978 waiting on the other end of this phone call".  There is nothing but a liar on the phone who will try to get you to pay $12.95 for $2.00 US  Postal mail rate.  You will get nothing but papers you can already get for free AND!!!! - you are MOST likely NOT going to be the recipient of FREE MONEY from the US Government.
