This is a complaint that General Motors has been under paying Dealership Technicians for years to perform warranty repairs. Most people do not know or understand how technicians are paid. They think that we make big bucks because when they get their car repaired, The assume that we get all the money that was charged. Not hardly. Most techs make approximately 20 - 33% of the front door labor. Years ago it was 50/50

Well the the truth is that we use a labor time guides to determine what to charge. This guide is put together by companies that have done studies to determine the time to charge for repairs,.

General Motors does not use such studies. I have been a dealership technician for 31 years, and for the life of me, I can not figure where they get the time that they appoint to repairs. Example you may have to remove an engine for replacement. It might take you 18 hours to determine what failed and why, but the warranty labor time guide has set a time of 9.6 hours. That's what you get paid. We do not get paid by punching a clock. We're what is know a Flat Rate. (Pay based on productivity). There is no appeals to them either. they refuse to negotiate with technicians. Since the Bankruptcy filing it has gotten worse.

I am 1 of thousands who have been getting ripped off for years. I would love to find a lawyer who would represent us in a Class Action Suite against General Motors Corp

First of all, GM does not pay you.  Your dealership does.   If you don't like what they pay for certain jobs either don't do them, or go work for dealership that doesn't follow GM's pricing model.

The bottom line is that you wish you got paid more for the work you do.   Welcome to the club.

And I would love to find a stunning young blonde gal that likes football and caters to my every need.     I think I'll find mine before you find yours.
