Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
We purchased a G.E. washer and dryer Oct. 2000 and my dilemma is that I noticed that my clothes started tearing. My husband accused me of tearing his favorite t-shirt, and then I noticed that suddenly we had holes in our underwear. What are we doing, have giant moths invaded our state?

Then I started noticing that my childs plastic pants that go over training pants were ripped, then a shower curtain came out nicked. One evening I found shreds of another pair of plastic pants that looked like a cat had jumped into the wash. I was mad by then and called G.E. and the first person told this, you will just have to live with it.

Glen, Mike and another person on another call tried to tell me that I must be doing something wrong. All of this is happening while the service tech is replacing my agitator. The Agitator has fins at the base and they are lose so they hook clothes and beat the heck out ot them.

The service tech said he had to replace four already and that one person said they were stretching her sweaters. G.E. only makes one type of agitator, but whirpool and Maytag must have figured this out because they changed the fins so that they no longer have corners on them.

At this point I have been dealing with GE for a month and they basically told me that I am screwed. The repair man left an agitator from a hotpoint washer here so I had my husband modify it so that the clothes would no hook on them.

So far, it appears that this housewife is much more intelligent then those designers at G.E. as I have resolved my own delimma.

I will never by another G.E. product ever again so that I wont have to deal with customer relations and people like Mr. Pepper, Mr. Abdul, Ms. Riddick, Quintal, Ladonna, or Rogers. I dont care to hear their nasty attitudes for dealing with their customers ever again.

And by the way, they said they would replace my Prodigy Washer with a more expensive one and all I needed to do was fork over the money. Do they think we are idiots? Maybe the first time, I did by a G.E.

Maybe a letter to the company pres would be a little more mature way to deal with your problem. GE does not tolerate lack of integrity from their employees, in all areas, including customer service. All companies have or have had bad products. I bet this is not the first company that has not made you happy. Think about it. Are you going to put out such a report when your husband and or children "misfunction"? No. You would go
to the sorce and deal with the situation in a mature manner. (I hope). Sorry you had the problem. Great Job with figuring out the solution. Would be better to give the solution to the company President or CEO, so that correcting measures could be had. Just a thought.
