Complaint Review: FORECAST HOMES CA - SACRAMENTO California

FIRST: Let me start out by saying that this is NOT the normal practices of a home builder. My mother has bought several new homes and not once did she go through the rude and unethical and CORRUPT business practices before. She bought her FORECAST HOME in 2003 and it all started with my mother and I smartly enough walked through the model house with the sales woman and asked ok what does come with this house and what is an upgrade? BEWARE that even though some things are marked (UPGRADE)hahah (what a joke) that in the small writing in your contract it says that :FORECAST AT ANY TIME HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THE FIXTURES DURING THE PRODUCTION OF YOUR HOME!) So all you buyers that bought the house if you remember back when you walked through the model home---the lights are NOT marked upgrade but yet you DID NOT get them. NOw hmm the sales person sure did not tell us that. Our house came with some junky 5$ lights.

SECOND: We went to the house while it was being built and while walking up the stairs and down the hall way there is this big huge closet that interupts the walkway. How many of you got that in your house in dont even realize it wasnt supposed to be there? We rushed to the sales office and the sales woman found out that the construction guy was using the wrong plans! LOL So get this OUR house along with im sure others in the neighborhood were built with the wrong plans!!! I wonder if the square footage is off also? By the way our house is the one with the open courtyard, 2 story.

THIRD: My mother moves in on Mothers Day weekend-but was not fully in yet, and guess what--On Mothers Day the whole half of the house floods. Why? well they got some plumber to come out and come to find out that in the sewer line in the drive way there was a big cement piece in the line! The funny thing is is that 3 more houses down the road after ours had to have their driveways dug up because obviously the same reason! Now this is the beginning of a long long road through hell!

The next day my mother had to stay off work so that people could come in and left big airblowers so it would dry up all the contaminated sewer water all over. Lets just say I myself while my mother was at work had to go to take time out of my house for months and months while they finished cleaning up and repairing everything! Want to hear the funny part---after they ripped up and replace the carpet-well the guys working that could not understand english were going to leave the pad down there and just put the new carpet over--LOL so I had to tell them uh NO I dont think so! Heres the best part of all this guy named GARY I wont say his last name but im sure you other home buyers delt with him also---he tried to leave the contaminated bathroom floor and laundry room floor down--I explained uh" there was 3 inches of (CONTAMINATED WASTE WATER)on top of this floor" "YOU WILL REPLACE IT"LOL Gary argued with me saying it doesnt look damaged!And that it doesnt look like to him that it seeped under! OH MY GOD i was furios and I told him YOU WILL REPLACE IT GUARANTEED! Well he said"he had to talk to his supervisor" HAHA Where did they get this guy at? Of course I won the argument and good ol Gary had to replace the entire flooring! The walls also, etc!

FOURTH:This is a good one too, The front door would not shut right.When I walked in the front door I had to not only try to swing it once behind me but also turn around and shut it again because it would not shut the first time around well unless I tried to slam it shut! Good ol Gary(their warranty and fix it guy in charge)argued with me again he tried telling me that if its not more then a little less then half inch warped then they would NOT replace the front door!CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS? So I told him"listen let me go get my recorder out and you tell me again (being on tape)that even though my door is clearly warped and not functioning correctly, that forecast will not replace my door! LOL well a tape recorder always get them..So the door was finally replaced after several arguments.The back door was also replaced cause it was warped.Also all the doors several times had to be adjusted because when shut they would open and Im sure it wasnt a ghost.Oh I forgot Gary's explanation of the door not shutting properly was cause well ya know when its different weather the doors change.Still till this day the doors do not work properly!

FIFTH:Oh my God I almost forgot when the house was still being built there was a big dent on the brand new bath. Gary of course said they would not replace it but yet try to fix up by adding some coverup etc--lol the dent was right there in the center along with some scratches. So they tried to replace and it couldnt be fixed the right way, you could totally tell that some work had been done. Well along with everything else I had to argue again with Gary-this time I talked to his supervisor and he came out-now he was a very nice guy-he replaced it with a new one. And the walls around the bath had to be replaced-now the guy that came out there -boy he seemed to be on _ _ _ _ _ cause he couldnt cut the walls the right length and he tried several times to get it right but he was over there trying to fill his big gaps up with sealant stuff!HAHA

SIXTH:the cement little square in the backyard outside the back door they had to add to probably cause they assumed since were not dumb we'd realize it was supposed to be a bigger slab.

SEVENTH:The lights were finally replaced with some new onesLOL but the big joke was the huge entry way light was replaced with a little tiny light that hung up so close to the ceiling that you couldnt even reach it to change the light bulb.I was there 4 times while Gary ordered the right light,well every light he ordered was um sure not the light! Then after wasting all my time being there 4 different times we get a letter from MRS Vicky Cinelli-LOL saying that they would add just another chain. what a joke! I have talked to her manager though and he sounded like he will be replacing the light. thank god Also she decided after Gary had told us that my mother would be paid for the day of the incident of the flooding. well after my mother sent copies of the paystub that showed the day off Mrs. Vicky Cinelli refused to pay! Can you believe this woman? She should be fired if she is the warranty manager cause people there isnt a warranty dept that takes care of things--they just argue and unless your a fighter like me also a law student---you will get burned by them.

EIGHTH:There was several other things wrong and all these things took about a year to fix...and the whole house was done shitty if you ask me.Not the standard of what someone would pay for a house of over $300,000 thousand dollars!The gutter on the roof had big gaps in it where a birds nest would be...and we had a home inspector come out and said it built wrong and the only way they could repair it right was if they took down the whole roof again and fixed it right from the beginning.Well so they fixed it as best they could.The front law had to be taken out and replaced cause if you tried to mow the lawn there was big dips in the lawn...um the floor in the masterbedroom screatched so bad that they had to come take up the carpet and guess what:the workers forgot to put nails in the wood flooring parts--before they put the carpet over it.Can you believe?Windows wouldnt shut right.Some of the window frame parts underneath were crooked--like noticeably crooked..the arches inside the hallways>who ever did those foregot to tape them up before putting on the plaster and paint--LOL I can go on and on but the most horrible and deceitfull thing FORECAST HOMES has done is:

NINTH:The builder new that the property bought next to the property where the FORECAST houses where being built were going to be used for Low income apartments!!Did anyone tell anyone that bought the homes that behind you would be 3 not 2 but 3 story apartments?I wonder if this is illegal?After everyone moved in they said the builder that owned the property behind left this info at every house so that the people could go complain at the city hall meeting? but did they really?No way!

Also when I was looking at the house I specificly asked about if there were melroose payments and the saleswoman said that only like 30$ a month compared to all the other houses of around 80$ a month...she made it seem like they were giving the buyers a big discount but in actualality come to find out at the end of tax season.....there was some hidden extra taxes....so they dont count those as melaroose, but just as some extra extra taxes that you have to pay at the end of the year.Boy was alot of neighbors pist when the tax season came.

THE OWNER OF FORECAST HOMES--KOVIKIAN IS ARMENIAN--AND I DONT KNOW HOW HIS ARMENIAN HOME BUILDER CAN GET AWAY WITH BUSINESS PRACTICES LIKE THESE..ESPECIALLY AFTER READING ALL THE OTHER COMPLAINTS...AND WE ARE AN ARMENIAN FAMILY WITH THE ARMENIAN NAME OF MARDIROSIAN AND NOT ALL ARMENIANS OWN COMPANY'S THAT RIP YOU OFF AFTER PAYING THEM $330,000. THOUSAND DOLLARS!!KOVIKIAN ....SEVERAL FAMILY MEMBERS AND FRIENDS HAVE MOVED FROM THE BAY AREA AND NEVER AFTER HEARING ALL THIS WILL THEY BUY A FORECAST HOUSE!!!!!!!!!! AND ID LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT GOING AGAINST THEM THAT WE CAN JOIN..THAT THE OTHER GIRL FROM LAKE ELSINORE TALKED ABOUT.COUNT ME IN TO CAUSE NOBODY SHOULD GO THROUGH THIS AGAIN OR EVER FROM FORECAST HOMES!!!!!!

P.S. I know the sales woman We delt with quit a while ago cause we ran into her at some other homes of Roselle.HMm i wonder why she quit-----maybe she saw the horrible business this is!!!
