So I applied for this First National Credit card because I thought it can help re-build my credit. Before accepting the pre-approval offer, I checked sites like these to see what consumers had to say

Apparently some people felt they were charged unfair fees, but I figured they were all justified fees, and these people complaining about First National were just bad with their credit cards. I made sure I read all the disclosures so I wouldn't be surprised with anything.

I accepted this card and was immediately charged a bunch of fees, activation and annual, etc. I was okay with this since they were all in the disclosure. With an initial credit limit of 300, I had about 90 left for myself or so after all the fees. I figured this was fine, it can help me build my credit making payments for these.

Well I had to make a payment of 30 dollars for my first billing cycle. That was fine. I set it up to come from one of my accounts, giving my routing and account number. Unfortunately, the site does not let you know if the account number will be good or not.

The payment goes through and I feel I'm on my way to better credit. The payment posts a couple days later and I have a good amount left for food. However, come to find out, I go and try to purchase some food from the store when my card declines. I check online and I was returned my 30 dollars plus charged a returned check charge for 29. So now I was in the negative and over my limit. WAT THE HELL!

My account number must've been entered incorrectly, so I felt I can easily make a phone call on the next business day to solve the problem. I call and they didn't try and do anything to help me. It was apparently my fault for entering the wrong account number. I spoke to a supervisor and she verified that my account number just had too many zeros. SHE SAID THIS WAS MY FAULT and she cannot waive the 29 dollar fee for me. HOW F***ING UNFAIR IS THAT!! This was the first time I'm making a payment and how am I to know how many zeros they wanted me to enter. The stupid system should've known to still process the account because its still the same number in spite of the extra zeros!

Apparently this was still my fault. I spent about 10 minutes on the phone with the supervisor laying out my argument as to why I shouldn't be charged this fee or this over the limit fee, which is on its way, a total of 60. This is going to affect my credit. She was unyielding so I made my payment and called back after a couple minutes to close my card.

THIS WAS HORRIBLE SERVICE AND THEY COULDN'T EVEN OFFER A COURTESY OF A REVERSAL FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS NOT MY FAULT. THEIR SYSTEM IS FLAWED AND MAY CAUSE PROBLEMS FOR YOU AND WHEN FEES GET CHARGED BECAUSE OF THEIR SYSTEM LIMITATIONS, THEY WILL NOT WAIVE YOUR FEES!

THEIR COMPANY IS NOT LEGITIMATE or USER FRIENDLY AND I SUGGEST YOU ALL AVOID THIS CARD SO THEY AND ALL THEIR EMPLOYEES CAN GO TO DUST.
