I have been subjected to privacy rights violations, intimidation tactics and defamation by Steven Miller, CEO & VP Federated Financial Services, Inc.

I found that there are at least 3 Federated Financial corporations, all located at 3275 W. Hillsboro Blvd., Deerfield, FL, but in different suites.

Federated Financial Debt Management Group, Inc. and Federated Financial Counseling Services, Inc. are the *non* profits.

Federated Financial Services, Inc. is the *FOR* profit, owned by Steven Miller. Mr. Miller appears to be the mastermind behind these organizations, as his *FOR* profit corporation has been established longest and he was also a director for one of the non profits until 2003. A *Rita* Miller is still listed as director.

FACTS:

I have documented that the Federated Financial VP & CEO Steven Miller violated the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act on at least 2 occasions by publicizing the names and locations of clients who dared to post complaints about his services on the web and he posted my own data with the intent to intimidate me and other victims and to discourage further investigations and complaints.

While Steven Miller is not formally associated with the non profits, he apparently has unlimited access to the non profits' client data.

NON profits funneling profits and grant money to FOR profits is a common credit counseling scam and several credit counseling outfits (such as AmeriDebt) have been prosecuted by AGs in several states.

It is rather unusual that the Federated Financial scheme involves TWO nonprofits, possibly to obtain more grant funds.

The IRS is currently working on removing non profit status from all credit counseling companies as they engage in debt collection and are paid by the creditors.

My CONCLUSIONS:

I concluded that Steven Miller and the directors of the non profits conspired to mislead and deceive consumers with financial problems into believing that they represent the interest of the consumers and that they are a bona fide non profit organization.

It is quite likely that Mr. Miller set up the 3 corporations to funnel profits and possibly grant money into his own and the directors' pockets.

When I advised Mr. Miller of my research, suspicions and conclusions at his public web forum, his only response was to delete my allegations and questions and to post entirely false defamatory statements about me. His conduct indicates that at least some of my allegations are correct.

I NEED INFORMATION:

1) I am looking for an attorney to file a defamation and privacy rights violation suit against all 3 Federated Financial entities.

If necessary, I can file my own complaint, but it would be very helpful to have a FL defamation complaint I can use as a template. Any help is appreciated.

2) I am looking for information on the PEOPLE involved in the Federated Financial credit counseling scheme:

Anthony Coleman is the registered agent for all 3 corporations and he is also a director for Federated Financial Debt Management Group, Inc.

The corporate information according to the Florida public records:

CEO & VP Steven Miller

Federated Financial Services, Inc.

*For* Profit

3275 W. Hillsboro Blvd.

Suite 110

Deerfield Beach FL 33442

Federated Financial Counseling Services, Inc. - aka the Lowell Foundation

*Non Profit*

3275 W Hillsboro Blvd

Suite 207

Deerfield Beach, FL 33442

Directors:

Coleman, Anthony G Jr

Miller, Rita

Weintraub, Ted

3) I am looking for information about the business structure, finances, other consumer complaints, etc. from (former) employees and others with knowledge.

4) Are any of these Federated Financial entities receiving grants or public funding?

5) What activities does the Lowell Foundation engage in?

It is my goal to have all Federated Financial entities shut down and quite frankly, I'd like to see Steven Miller behind bars. I have a long history of investigating credit counseling deception and fraud due to my work with consumers with financial problems, including my published documentary about the Genus credit counseling fraud.

I will be sending my complaints to the FL AG and maybe the BBB, although I don't expect much from the BBB. However, it is important to document and publicize BBB and regulatory corruption and no published complaint is ever a waste of time. If enough people document corruption, these organizations will have to change their ways.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!

Legitimate Businesses Do Not Establish Smear Campaigns Against Consumer Advocacy Sites! Excuses and bogus explanations are good indications of businesses desperation.

#2Consumer Suggestion

Thu, June 02, 2005

Hey there Everyone,

I hope that this rebuttal finds you in good spirits and health.

Although I have never done business with this company myself, I can assure you it's a corrupt entity. The fact that these turds took it upon themselves to create their own website in attempt to defend themselves from reports posted on a consumer advocacy site says it all.

To make matters even worst, their website does not even begin to address the issues and concerns of that of their victims, but rather goes on to attact the creator of the bad business bureau taking about, and twisting the facts about things that happened over 30 years ago.

This is a typical attack of a business with much to hide and a shady agenda. This is also nothing but a weak attempt to diverge everyone's attention from the truth.

Legitimate businesses DO NOT create websites that post information about a person that could be potentially harmful to his or her reputation. This is what's called a smear campaign in attempt to hide the truth.

Legitimate businesses DO NOT establish their own venue to post fabricated information about a person because they want to shut him up. This type of nonsense only takes place amongst children and those with something to hide.

The creator of a consumer advocacy website has the right to charge anyone he pleases a fee for "services rendered." IT'S CALLED FREE ENTERPRISE! The "service fee" only upsets businesses that get reported again and again and are unable to satisfy the many complaints regarding them.

It's unfortunate that some feel it's extortion, especially when they're obviously doing the
f%ck!ng exact same thing to the general public.

The creator of this website does not charge businesses to post rebuttals right of the back. It is only after he has witnessed numerous complaints having been accumulated against a particular business and nothing but excuses and unsatisfactory explanations coming from the business in question, that he charges this fee.

This is in no way extortion. He must charge a fee for his services to avoid his website from being flooded with nothing but excuses and unresolved issues. Otherwise, it would defeat the purpose of having consumers come forward to post their experiences in the first place, no?

I can see how "free speech" and "free enterprise" can be quite disturbing to many however, as these two things have the power to cut into the profits of any fraudulent business. Thank you very much Ed Magedson for standing behind the little guy.

I also think this was a great idea by ED, founder of this site to allow these fraudulent businesses to post their sorry excuses for free. Excuses and bogus explanations are good indications of businesses desperation.

Would you allow your children to go outside and play if he was your next door neighbor? Be honest. LOL.

Here is the web address to the recent arrest of partner Christopher McFarland of Federated Financial. How can the State of Florida allow this man to run such a business?!
