I ordered a 1300D,in October 2003. It is now June 2004 and no computer and no refund. When I first started calling about the order, I was told that the whole shipment of computers they received from China had all the wrong hardware installed, therefore, they had to be sent back to China. I was also told it would be 3 to 6 weeks before they came in again.

After 3 months went by, I called again and was given the same story. Another 2 months went by and I was told I could cancel the order and request a refund. I did that and no refund and no computer. Ever since I requested the refund, I call the customer service number 818-734-0296 and half the time it just rings and rings. The other half I get voice mail and they never return my calls. It's like they know it's me and I am some refund request list.

A day after I ordered the computer, they withdrew $875 from my account. I have a copy of the withdraw. I never been scammed before and now I know how it feels. I don't know what to do or where to go. HELP!

This was posted on my report that I filed with this website, I don't know if this will help you. I have tried to file with the small claims court but, the court told me that I have to go to California to handle this matter. This ex-employee by the name of Colin responded with the information below. Here it is so you can read it also. Rebuttal UPDATE EX-employee responds Submitted: 6/28/2004 4:46:43 PM Modified: 6/28/2004 11:46:50 PM Inside info about builtsmart/Epcparts.com I was with the company from the very begining. I even suggested the name EPCparts.com as I was in online sales and later warehouse managment. I set up the delivery lines with our laptop parts suppliers, we had up to 50 employees at one time, building from scratchand shipping out 100 computers a day for a while. The company was doing well for only 3 years old, then I left, the company went broke 6 months later. Damon is the President of marketing and runs the show. He spends more than the company brings in and now there moved a few months ago from their 10,000 sq. foot warehouse to nothing. thanks to damons spending and luxury cars, the company is now seriously behind on trying to fullfill orders I doubt they will. They stoped taking credit cards due to high fees from the merchant accounts and newg. bounce backs. The company is no longer in the same warehouse is was in Jan. 2004. I think they are broke. You can file small claims with LA county court. They deal with Van Nuys courthouse, so someone at that courthouse will know more about them. Good luck. If I was still there, I would have done everything I could and did fullfill customer orders. The laptops and desktops were pretty solid. Too bad they don't know how to manage money and cash flow in a business well. It's an uphill battle, but it's possible. Good luck. PS: I never worked for another company since being fired from epcparts July 1st 2003. I still deal with the same suppliers and parts.
