EDDIE'S AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR GAINSVILLE GEORGIA AN ABSOLUTE RIP-OFF THE BBB WAS NO HELP
WHILE CHANGING THE SPARK PLUGS IN MY TRUCK THE LAST PLUG BROKE OFF IN THE HEAD - EDDIE'S AUTOMOTIVE REMOVED THE HEAD AND REMOVED THE BROKEN PLUG AND INSTALLED A HELI COIL.
I PAID $580.00 FOR THE REPAIR AND WITHIN THREE WEEKS THE TRUCK WAS RETURNED TO EDDIE'S AUTO REPAIR BECAUSE THE PLUG BLEW COMPLETELY OUT OF THE HEAD.
THE $580.00 WAS PAID JUNE 21,2001 - IT IS NOW JANUARY 23,2002 AND MY TRUCK IS STILL AT EDDIE'S AUTOMOTIVE NOT REPAIRED.
I HAVE CALLED THE REPAIR SHOP AT LEAST THREE DAYS OUT OF THE WEEK - EVERY WEEK THAT IT HAS BEEN THERE- ALL I GET IS EXCUSES AND BLAME ON THE MACHINE SHOP THAT SUPPOSEDLY REPAIRED THE HEAD IN THE BEGINNING.
I HAVE CONTACTED THE LOCAL AND NATIONAL BBB - NO HELP THERE.
I HAVE ASKED FOR MY MONEY BACK SO I COULD GET THE REPAIR SOMEWHERE ELSE.
THEY WILL NOT GIVE ME THE MONEY BACK AND OBVIOUSLY WILL NOT REPAIR MY TRUCK.
I WANT EITHER MY MONEY BACK OR MY TRUCK PROPERLY REPAIRED IN A VERY TIMELY MANNER.

But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business?
