I started a small gift mail order business and saw a ad in a magazine "YOU CAN ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS" now im a 76yrs old widow looking for a way to make some extra money.

so i called the 1-800 no# and the man told me that i could be set up in just a few days now. any way to make a long story short. he said that they would send me the lipman nurit 2085 equip- after i signed and mail the agreement back.

after i got the agreement form i called them to ask some questons, i ask about the non cancellable lease because im just starting out i dont know if this for me, and he said you cancell if you dont use equipment and you dont pay nothing now we will take $79.95 from your checking account the first month and $47.67 their after.

Thinking i could cancel at any time as long as i did'nt use the equipment i signed and returned the lease agreement, i got the nurit 2085, they took the money from my checking acount after 3 months or so with selling my gifts no one ever ofered to pay with a credit card and since im paying for somthing that im not even useing i called to cancel and the man said i can NOT!

CANCEL he said i could send the equip- back but i had to steel pay the money. After paying for 2 more month, keeping the equip- because i did'nt want to pay for something i dont have i move and continued to send the $47.67 by mail.

I was so mad but what could i do? any way one day after sending a payment i got a letter saying i owed more money so i got mad and sent the equip- back to leasecomm and stoped paying! now they are saying they are going to file a law suit agenst me. what can i do?

I'm not quite following what you mean in this Ad..There is a loop-hole in almost EVERY contract...You should ask them to send you the original contract, or a photo copy of it, and post it on here so people can understand more and try to give ya more help...other than that, you can try gettign the law involved or something like that...Hope I can help more somehow...I'll watch for a reply!
