My boyfriend and I bought a 95 ford truck in March 2002. We had the truck a couple weeks and the motor started knocking.
We called the duck and they came and got it. They said the oil sending unit was bad on the truck and put in another one and everything was supposed to be ok.
Well after that we had some electrical problems and than the transmission went. We had only had the truck for 5 months when that happened.
Once again said they would fix it. They had the truck for 2 wks. While we were waiting for this to be fixed no one from the duck contacted us to let us know what was going on, And every time we called there they were rude and unhelpful. The nite the truck was picked up from having a new tranny put in the motor started knocking again.
The oil pressure gauge said no oil and there was oil in it. When we tried to talk to the manager Brian he said that he wasn't going to "deal" with us any more .
I think they lied about the oil sending unit. That part is equivalnt to a fuse the motor is not going to knock when this goes bad.
I think They knew the motor was bad when it was knocking the first time and they did a "quick fix" to quiet down the knock.
We have put 3000 miles on the truck since we bought it. We've been paying 400.00 a month for a truck that has been sitting in the driveway for 7 months and we can't drive it.
