I had Dish Network several years ago. I closed my account over four years ago. Last month they charged my credit card $298.00 because they have been incorrectly billing the current resident at my former residence and have a dispute. I called Dish Network, assuming that they would be glad to remove a fraudulent charge. Instead, they insisted that they had a right to bill me for an account that was closed over four years ago in good standing. I have notified my attorney general; I have notified my credit card company; I will file a bill with the grand jury. If immoral, unscrupulous, bald-faced thieves are allowed to run rampant without reprisal, the financial integrity of our nation will crumble around us. If you have Dish Network, get out now before you are victimized. You will probably be victimized anyway, but it is better to face the fraudulent charges now than later. If you do not have Dish Network and want Dish Network, get xxxxx, get cable, get an antenna, or get a good lawyer.

I have been a dish customer for nearly a year now and have never had billing problems or mystery debits. I always pay my bill online and NEVER had a problem, in fact DN sends me an email to let me know they received the payment. I had some reception problems at first and was not at all happy about that but they sent techs as much as needed until it was right. Maybe those of you who are getting charged owe them money? Hmmm, why would they take it if you did'nt owe it?

Dish Network is a bunch of crooks. They debited my account without my permission. I never signed up for automatic withdrawals. Living paycheck to paycheck like we do, this debit caused me to be overdrawn in my account. They claimed they didn't receive all my equipment when I canceled and when I proved that they did, they were like Oh Well! They would not credit my account immediately, they said they had 7 to 10 days to MAIL me a check. Which means more like 10 to 20 days if I see it at all. They could have cared less about what they were doing to me and my family or that they screwed up, not me. They are Crooks! Stay away from Dish Network!

I too had the card that I gave them to openmy account hit, and it wasn't even for my account. My brother hadn't paid his dishnetwork bill so they charged his bill to my card apparantly because we have the same last name. To the "employee of dishnetwork" your either uninformed about your employers business peactices or simply lying your a*s off. I tried talking to Dishnetwork about this and everyone i talked to said that they didn't hit my card. My bank said they did. I never got my money back-never. I did cancel my dishnetwork account. I had been a customer for over 5 years and had no contract etc, so I just cancelled the account and closed the account they hit. I cut my losses at about 300 dollars. The cable company I use now sucks, but they don't steal my money AND suck! Beware folks, dishnetwork is a company of thieves.

I have been a Dish customer for over a year now. I had Direct TV before, and I would never ever have that ripoff company again!!!! We atarted having technical problems and one bad dream became a nightmare with them. We could not order from our remote because of the technical problems that(said it was our fault)we were having so we had to call the purchase request in that had a charge of $5.00. (If you don't order thru your remote you are charged this.) I paid for this with my credit card. When it came time for the westling pay per view to come on, we had a black screen. Making a long story short, we never got the pay per view, we paid for it, and they refused to credit us the amount. I called Dish and set up an appointment for instulation. The tech was very nice and did a wonderful job. We had him check the phone lines because that is what Direct TV said was the problem, and he said they were just fine. About 5 months after instulation, we moved. I called up dish, they waived all charges, and came on Memorial Day to install. We only had to wait 24 hours from when we called. We will never go to another satellite company. Even with what has happened recently with Viacom, I will not switch. Dish Network is losing a minimum of 1.6 million dollars a month because they refuse to raise the rates that can't be justified. Cable has these channels Dish is temperarily not showing and so does Direct TV. Why? because they just pass the expense to their customers. GO DISH NETWORK!! If anyone from Dish reads this, THANK YOU FOR FIGHTING FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS. And to the two people who had a bad experience, I'm sorry you had some problems, but going to another satellite like Direct TV, is only asking for more problems. Hope everything works out for you.

They illegally debited my account after I expressly withdrew permission months prior. They changed the billing to someone else and stopped debiting my account after I notified them. Then -- all of a sudden, months later, they debited my account for the entire balance in my account causing overdrafts and fees and leaving me with NO money. I am on social security disability. I had to borrow money from my kids to live the rest of the month. I am still trying to recover from it. They are theives and their customer service reps are nasty. I also am considering taking them to court over this. I will report them to whoever will listen.

I work for Dish network and ll of the stories I have read are untrue. First off why did you give a credit card number over the internet to begin with if you didnt trsu the company, second of all you have to give written permission to a CSR if you dont know is a Customer Service Represenative to even be able to sign up for CCA (credit card autopay) on either a credit or debit card. Dishnetwork is a great company if you have a complaint that is legitamate then you need to be calling the Dihnetwork and finding out what the problem is, posting untrue information on the internet can lead to serious trouble.
