Digital Research Labaratories Santa Anna CA Rip-off
I recieved an LS-120 drive for Christmas of 98. I was so happy and it was just what I wanted. Murphys law set in some months later and the drive stopped working. I called Imation only to find out that even though their name is on the box they didnt make the drive. I bought a drive by digital research. So I called them and they said no problem send it to us and we will replace it.
I mailed my drive off in November of 99. That was the last time I seen it. I have repeatedly asked for some kind of resolution and recieved nothing but BS from the so called customer service rep for digital research.
They cant even tell me if they recieved my drive. I made the mistake of not getting a tracking number for the drive. I did insure it but even that didnt help because the post office needs a letter from Digital saying they never recieved it.
Then they will track the package and pay me for it or tell me that Digital did recieve it. Digital Research doesnt even give me a response when I ask if they recieved it much less a written letter.
I have filed complaints with my state and Californias Attorney Generals and the BBS. Well it is now May and I have no LS-120, no reply, and no more patience.
I have recieved a couple of responses from a customer support rep who basically told me they were busy and they take letters in the order they are recieved. At this point they are saying that they need a trcking number to be able to find out if they recieved it, even though they have their own RMA number. Their trech support has an answering machine where I have left no less than 50 messages that they will not return. I have even left my cell number which they will not call.
At this point I think I will never get my drive back.
