Debra Grady I was asked to pay the deposit for renting a room, and NEVER saw the room. Fremont California
I chose a room for renting and I was asked to pay the deposit. Surely I wanted to see the room first. But the owner of the apartment was away. She sent me the pictures and the lease agreement, assured me of here honesty, and was pressing upon me to pay the deposit and the first month rent, to sign the agreement, so that all the papers should be ready when we meet.
I paid part of the deposit ($300). When I came to meet Debra and to see the room, she was not in and didn't answer the calls.
I've never heard from her any more.
