This company buys old debt. I highly doubt CrossCountry has any knowledge of their practices. Currently, I have four collections violations against them pending to the tune of $4000.00, and possibly a federal charge involving the phone communications stemming from their unscrupulous purchase of a well documented disputed debt... Write them a cease and desist letter telling them to only contact you by mail. Be sure to send it certified mail. Along with your letter, enclose a VALIDATION request, that is, demand an original signed contract or service agreement with the original creditor, an itemized statement of account including all charges and payments, and an assignment/purchase letter from the original creditor showing that they own the rights to any money. If they fail to respond, they are SOL on any further collections on the account. To the gentleman who previously worked for the company- I am sorry about your job loss. I know everyone has to make a living somehow, but it may be a blessing in disguise considering some of your former co-workers are going to bankrupt the company by resorting to illegal tactics.

I am an ex worker of Tate and Kirlin Associates. Since i left there i have not found another job as so. It was the absolute best company I have ever worked for. I was reading all of the bad publicity that was written about the company and I would like to share a piece of information with all the angry debtors out there. As a former worker, I have to say that it is NOT Tate & Kirlin's fault that you recieve harrassing phone calls to pay your bill. After all, your debt will not be going on our credit reports. Tate and Kirlin has strong teams put together to recover loses for world wide companies and corporations. Workers are just merely doing there jobs! From experience, it was the debtors who were nasty over the phone and cusing at Tate & Kirlin's workers most of the time. The job is stressful enough and then we get people who don't want to pay their bills and throwing a fit with the representatives. So my word of advice is to be calm, because Tate& Kirlin representatives are there to help people solve their debt BEFORE it goes to the credit report. So, next time they call you just remember they are there to help your credit and instead of throwing a tantrum, ask them to work with you!

I got a credit card with Cross Country when I graduated from high school. I did not pay that bill for 2 years of course interest accured and I was contacted by both Cross County and Tate and Kirlin. At first I was not able to make the payments they requested but finally and civially we came to an agreement that works. They were not rude or disrespectful to me. Since I have made every payment on time and each has been properly credited to my account. Bottom line pay your bills and you or anyone else won't have to worry about collections calls. All the people I spoke with were very helpful and gave me all the numbers and addresses I needed. Learn how to communicate better and you will get a better result. Last of all don't assume you know what happens when you do that. Not all credit cards are issued by banks DUH! regardless of the name. When you don't pay your bills a company may use a collection agency and hand it over to them. If any one should be mad if should be the credit card company beacuse you use there credit and now won't pay up.

I am writing in response to the complaints written against Tate/Kirlin Assoc. I was searching due to my own problematic experience with them, and found these complaints. It's now wonder these individuals had problems! They can't write a simple sentence! There is no WAY they were able to communicate effectively with thier collections agents! I read thier articles three times and still have no clear idea of what they were saying. I can't hardly take thier comments as proof of any wrong doing on Tate & Kirlin's part.
