Copell tv repair in copell Texas is a joke. I ordered a "repair kit" at a cost of $30 for a tv I have and what I received was a joke. True, it was the defective parts for the tv, but, the same parts could have been obtained at radio shack for under $10. After questioning the seller (on eBay) about why such a huge mark up, the response I received was down right rude and disrespectful. I provided the copell tv repair representative with proof that the parts can be found way cheaper and they did everything short of cuss me out for doing my own research and questioning their prices. All this after waiting more than 3 weeks for delivery. I live in North Carolina; I purchased another product (not from same seller of course) at the same time and it was at my door in 4 days. And it came from California. Do not buy anything from copell tv repair, or, if you live in copell, tx, I recommend you find someone else to service your tv. They're crooks, and once they have your money, it's gone. It doesn't help that they are from Russia, or some bordering country. The guy's name says it all. Personally, I would ban them from eBay for this garbage if I could. Really, a 300% mark-up on parts??? Why?

First please note that ripoffreport.com lists vendor postings in reverse order: oldest responses are at the bottom and newest are at the top.

To get thing straight chronologically you should be reading bottom to top and not top to bottom.

Now, today we received the following email, which probably explains it all.

Before quoting it in full I'd recommend that if anyone still thinks this was a real customer complaint pay attention to the following:

1) This "reputation management company" does have its own website, but uses Google emails for its employees. A true mark of professionalism!

2) The "reputation management company" has been reported by other businesses here at ripoffreport.com to have attempted to repair their reputations damaged with made-up reports.

Google for "3213279428" and see for yourself!

3) The "reputation management company" email came one day after the review was posted and was not sent via email; it was manually sent via our own website's "Contact us" form which has a captcha protection to insure only human-written messages can be sent. Sure enough it also has the request to not use the form for solicitation, which they clearly violated.

In conclusion, while I have never been a customer of theirs and do not know how good they are at management reputation, the conditions surrounding the case, the similarity with cases from other companies and finally the very nature of their business (profiting from what's bad for others and whichc an be easily provoked or orchestrated) makes them an unwanted choice of partner.

For the record, for the same reason nobody in Coppell TV Repair uses anti-virus software...but that is another story altogether.

Added thoughts

A few more thoughts after reading the complaint again:

1)  On what grounds does the reviewer judge our abilitites to do TV repairs when their only experience was purchasing a repair kit that, according to their own statement, did the job it was advertised to do?

Not only is this contradictory, it is actually wrong for the simple reason that a repair kit is not indicative of our repair service qualities.

It is, however, indicative to our ability to describe and help resolve problems for those who want to do it on their own.

Next time you want to purchase something think if you want to buy it from a wholesale distributor on the coasts or an actual service technician knowing what are they selling and why and able to provide support should the need arise (and , in all fairness, it does arise often enough).

2) Again on what grounds do the reviewer say that we take away money and you're left on your own when again the report is that the kit delivered the functionality?

If it's the delivery time that's referred to here then a quote of the order of the date and the tracking information is needed to support such a claim.

3) The reviewer does not seem to have a high opinion of the Russian nationality since it gets involved. While as explained nobody at Coppell TV Repair is from Russia and are by no means playing advocates for them, we find the review and attitude to be nothing short of racist.

Don't you?

4) The author ends up with a question, so we will give a short answer:

"We charge what we charge because we believe it is fair for what we deliver. If you do not believe so do not purchase, but once you've purchased do not try to modify the agreement unless we fail to deliver what is advertised."

This response is partially for the author of the review, but mostly for the wide public interest in our business practices.

There are two sets of issues I have with this report: one is on its grounds and the second is on its sincerity.

The first is more important and somewhat easier to explain; the later can always be a subject of personal opinion and as such I would just share ours so readers can decide who do they want to go with.

On the business grounds of this report:

1) We have never had a case opened against us from a customer on eBay on the basis of price being too high.

No eBay seller has ever had.

You know why?

Because eBay does not recognize "too high price" as a valid reason for opening a dispute on a transaction.

And that is because price - along with all other components of the item or service being sold - is known upfront and the buyer has the full right to avoid entering a transaction if they do not like the price.

The item quality is subject to arguments. The delivery speed is also subject to objection.

But not the price. It is something that the buyer, once having agreed on, has no right to object to.

Especially when admitting that the delivered product did the job it was advertised to do.

And especially when failing to disclose that a product does not just contain " a number of parts". It contains know-how which, in our case, comes from first hand experience.

We do not just sell parts, we sell knowledge on which are the parts that one should be looking to change when they have a particular failure.

Do not take my word, check our listings when you're in doubt - we list failure symptoms, components affected and ways to check them.

Frankly it is not clear at all if that customer went for the overpriced cost of ours instead of running to RadioShack and buying what they needed.

Anyways, if you believe it is your right to complain about the cost of a deal you've executed at your own will then you are not a business partner we'd like to have. No offense meant.

2) We would very much ask the author of this review to come out and reveal the exact details of the repair kit we are selling for $30 that they could obtain for $10.

Better yet, they can start their own business undercutting us and thus totally ruin us.

Our guess is that they won't. This business does definitely not operate on 300% business.

We only wish it did.

3) We recommend all potential customers reading this thread to take a little extra time and research more about us.

Go to other public places - the eBay reviews are a great starting point - and see what other customers say, then decide if those reports have merit and how much of it.

Do not trust either side, trust numbers and common sense.

4) Just FYI most of our repair kits contain parts that can not be found in RadioShack.

At least I can't think of one for $30 that would have parts that can be found there.

RadioShack is a huge chain compared to us and if we were relying on competing with them we'd be long out of business.

On ethical grounds of this report:

1) This report is anonymous and fails to specify particular title and name.

It could have been filed for any reason by a customer or competitor and may or may not be based on actual experience.

If it is from a customer then it probably is based on actual experience, if it is from competitor it can be for absoltely anything.

As a sole customer support contact point for Coppell TV Repair LLC I state publicly that I do not recall having ever been "proven to" that parts we sell can be found for less.

I am not saying it is impossible to do so - it most certainly is and I guess it may look very easy to someone who is not in the business - but I have never ben shown actual refernces to prices elsewhere from a customer or at the very least I do not remember so.

There is one negative review about a repair kit in our eBay history from a customer complaining that $8 was too much for two diodes. Clearly not the same case, but the very same logic.

Our answer there shows it all: on a $8 ticket we pay $2 to eBay, $2 for shipping and...does it really matter how much we pay for the diodes? Are people judging us for making up to $4 per transaction?!

Again, I am ready to talk specific numbers here once we have specific data from the accuser.

Feel free to publish the references to the parts that can be obtained for less and help others...absoltely welcome!

2) We would also very much like to see the referenced delay in delivery as the reviewer falls into a very sharp contradiction with 99.5% of all our customers who vote our delivery the highest of all our qualities.

We ship daily and if there was a delay in delivery (which sure enough happens) it would have been caused by carriers, not us.

Again, please present facts, all facts and nothing by the facts.

3) Sure enough we are not from Russia. Anyone with more world experience would be able to tell the difference in the accent - russians have much more pronounced "R"-s than the rest of the Eastern Europe.

You are welcome to call and check :-)

Good luck!
