COLORADO PRIME ripoff cheated employees and screwed the customers even more. Don't let them intimidate you. Demand price per pound information. Farmingdale, New York
I used to work for Colorado Prime and I can tell you that having been everything from a sales agent to a Regional Sales Manager over many locations that they are indeed a bunch of crooks.
They are really in the appliance business and use the food as a way to hook people into long term contracts. They lock you in for years because of the high cost of the appliances of which many are made by one of their sister companies. The food is not even prime as they claim but choice a lower ranking.
They purposely train their sales people to lie about the amount of food that a family really needs for six or eight months so that the customer ends up having to buy more food from either CP or a local store to feed their family!
They also tell their employees do what ever it takes to make the sales. They never tell you that you are paying $100 for a 4lb rib roast or $28.00 a pound for ground beef before discount(HA HA).
Don't let them intimidate you. Demand price per pound information. Demand that they cancel your account and take them to small claims court if necessary. Call your local consumer watchdog. They are deathly afraid of publicity. In fact Dateline did an expose on them a few years ago and they have been shut down in some cities.
