All Work, No Pay
The company I am filing this report on is a temporary claims staffing agency. Pay is supposed to be received by the Friday following the week worked. Pay was not received. The several calls that I made were responded to with smart remarks and stories like "the check is in the mail". I was given two different dates that my check was mailed. I was also told that I would have to wait a week for a stop payment and reissue. When that time passed I requested the stop payment. I was told that it would not be done because it was very expensive for them to do it and that I should wait, the check would get there eventually. I then informed them that I would call the Labor Board. That generated a call back. The response was that they would stop payment and reissue, and the check would be mailed that same day. I asked if I could pick up the reissued check and was told no. Well, no reissued check. Additionally, the next check is now due and has not been received. You would think I had asked for a loan. I am asking for payment for services rendered.
