If you sad no to the officer about him searching your car, he would have to get a search warrent. What he did was just wrong and I would defintley file a report against him. I've heard bad things about Mesa PD and Chandler PD, the corruption needs to stop.

I was pulled over a few nights ago just as I was pulling into my driveway and was harassed by Officer Hurley.
I am not claiming to be perfect, I understand these guys deal with the scum of the earth and it cant be fun. I myself have a bit of a record but nothing in about 4 years and I have shed alot of blood, sweat, and tears to get to where I am today. I have been stopped a few times in the last 6 months in mesa and the officer is usually understanding and they usually realize real quick they arent dealing with the same person I was 4 years ago.
Officer hurley on the other hand disrespected me like I have never been in my life. The first thing out of his mouth to me was " whats a white boy from utah doing with 3 dots tatooed on his hand?" I laughed a little and said you know thats a part of my past I am not proud of. But what does 3 dots mean to you that you would say that to me? He said well its gang related. I am not a gang member nor have I ever been. I was wearing wranglers and cowboy boots!!!!! So it proceeded to go downhill from there i was accussed of being on meth and I refused to let him search my truck because he didnt have any reason to... BUt he did it anyway. I was also legally carrying a firearm which he tried to keep when he left. This went on for at least an hour in my driveway where all my neighbors could see and hear what was going on. So I am in the process of deciding what to do with this.
I feel your pain and something needs to change!!!!!!!!

Mesa P.D. has to meet its quota, and they are NOT interested in your problems, explanations, or any form of the truth that doesn't lead to an arrest situation which fulfills the quota of these demented crud. ANY domestic violence, no matter what started it or what actually happens, is a wonderful opportunity for these bozo crooks to make themselves look important, and create the fraudulent illusion these lowlifes are doing their jobs. SOOOO someone has to go to jail. Now, just in case you think the unbroken cell phone has something to do with it, it doesn't. Nor does any more sane definition of "violence" that isn't what these jerks and the equally insane city management and chiefs decide is practical for them to create their false front, pretending they are protecting someone other than the tiny minority of full time professional criminals they actually work for, that is, Charles Luster, his associates, his depraved flunkies, and other local parasites. So you have to go to jail, etc., etc., etc. Otherwise, they might have to deal with meth dealers, crack peddlers, car thieves, burglars and others who--EGAD!--might fight or cause trouble to these sniveling cowards. Indeed, read what happened to Mario Madrigal and about a half dozen others in the last 3-4 years. You are lucky to be alive! They L:IKE to murder people! Even--heck!--ESPECIALLY women, children, anyone who isn't armed or resisting seriously. See how honest and clear it really is when you understand you are dealing with criminals and pathological liars, on a police force about 3 times the size required in any kind of rational community? Once you grasp the criteria, you'll understand they are right in their world, not you. You don't count at all. It's Mesa, and it's Maricopa County. You expected honesty, fairness, or rational treatment? You're in the WAY WRONG place.
