My friend and I each purchased a new IBM computer just about 2 years

ago. We asked specifically 3 times, "Is the computer Y2K problem

free?". The sales people said yes.

You guessed it. They lied. Anyone out there surprised?

I really don't mean to burst your bubble, but your computer's problems have nothing to do with the "Y2K Bug" because there was no bug. not in any of the computers we have carried. I mean, there are windows 95 computers that still run! I have one! I believe the largest problem between customers and associates is that customers diagnose their own problems, and in nearly every case, are incorrect. They believe they know the problem, and won't hear any other side. Well, you wouldn't go to your mechanic and tell him what's wrong with your car, where the problem is, and how to fix it. He knows better than you. Well so do we. We are not out to scam, rip-off, or otherwise hurt our customers. If you think we are "evil", then please, shop somewhere else. Customers that believe things like this should not shop anywhere. They will never be happy with their purchases. Go ahead. Try Best Buy. See where THAT gets you. If you think we're bad, try returning something or get something serviced there. They will talk you out of the store if you don't buy their extended warranty. What sets us apart from them is that we are changing to suit your needs. We WANT to help. So before you become judge and jury over our procedures and service, remember, we ARE trying to put you first. We ARE trying to help. but no, not every product problem is going to be guaranteed or fixed or backed up. Things break, and that is a certainty.
