7/16/05 I was called on the phone and sold a Protection Plan on a recently purchased TV plan for 4 years T. Boatwright told me when I was contacted about purchasing this contract that it would be for 4-year service agreement. When the contract arrived it was only for 3 years.

When I called the contract center I was brushed off and told the contract was only for 3 years and that is all there is to it. The representative did not care what I was told when I was sold the contract. The representative stated the only thing I could do, would be to live with it or cancel the contract and gave me 804-270-2058 a fax #.

I sent a fax to that number asking for clarification and received no response. I then corresponded with Circuit City Customer Support via e-mail a number of times the reference # is (KMM2276811I9552L0KM) and was told by Milan A. (Customer Support Coordinator

Contact ID Number: 1194302) & Hitesh L. (Customer Support Coordinator Contact ID Number: 1194302) that I needed to contact the store manger where I purchased the TV even though the Protection Plan was sold to me after the purchase via a phone call.

I tried and was unable to contact the Store manager via the phone as he was out of town. I then composed a letter to him and included all the correspondences that I have had with cityadvantage and customer support. 7/30/05 I received a return call from the store manager (Stephen Savage Circuit City 2651 East Franklin Blvd. Gastonia, NC 28054). He stated that T. Boatwright did not work for him, that his store did not sell me the protection plan, and he was not sure why Customer Support was referring me to him.

It was a Saturday and he told me he was unable to resolve the issue that day but he would get back to me as soon as he figured out what was going on. I have not yet received a return call from Mr. Savage. When I sent Mr. Savage the letter I copied in Circuit City Stores, Inc. Attn: Customer Support 9954 Mayland Dr. Richmond, VA 23233. I received a call from their representative Channel Valentine 800-251-2665 ext. 8046. She offered me a $25 Gift card for my troubles, which is unsatisfactory.

I would like what I was promised when I was sold the Protection Plan, which is coverage for four years.

The company has still not addressed the issue of their representative selling me a four-year contract and only sending a three-year contract. I asked the cityadvantage sales representative who sold me the contract if it was for four years twice before I committed to purchasing the contract and she said, Yes four years. She initially stated it was for 3 years and when I declined she said that it would be for four years and that is when she closed the sale.

Circuit City has been less than helpful and evasive about whether this type of unrepeatable sales policy is standard operating procedure. I feel they believe I am making this whole scenario up. I assure you I would not be wasting my time. My question to Circuit City is Has someone asked the sales representative what she stated or has someone listened to the phone conversation? They state that they record such calls. Also, I still have not received a follow up call from the local store manager where I purchased the TV.

To me that ticket number that you had given me sir, didn't look like a ticket number, and I've tried it multiple ways to try to get it to work If you don't mind looking at the original purchase recipet and the ticket number should be on the top right side of that, if it's the same number, just tell me But from what I can find right now... it doesn't look like the right number

You want proof.... look at this thread.... http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff157694.htm You can clearly see "Alex" trying to post as me under "blah blah blah". He totally forgot that he had logged in as me, and talks about ME in the post. I think its obvious. Now about this post. The ONLY things I have done is try and fix what Alex has done. I have not attacked Jason and actually, he gets a cheer from me on this one. He honestly looks like he is trying to HELP. Thus I left it alone. Good for you Jason. That is the true help people need here.

Danny you quote... "Yup, here's ben again, attacking others who are trying to help. Who's the troll now?" Ill tell you who the troll is Denny. Its Alex. I didnt make that post. Alex is impersonating me. You can see his stupidity on other posts when he forgot he was still posting under my name. He does wonders for his "case" when he spoke about ME in a post supposedly by ME. And you defend these vile empoyees?? That need to impersonate people to get their feeble point across?

If you would like to see where Alex has a meltdown and totally forgets that he was posting under my name you may go here.... http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff157694.htm I think you will find his (mine? hehe) post under "Blah Blah Blah". Nice title there Alex (er...i mean me?). Sorry Alex.....you just lost all credibility. What a loser. You cant stand on your own merits? Just gotta impersonate people to get your feeble arguments across?

Ok so its Alex thats impersonating me. Way to go Alex.....you a*s. Alex forgot that he was posting under my name on another thread. Thus giving away his little ruse. Gig is up moron. When you impersonate someone, its probably wise NOT to talk about the person your impersonating in the post itself! What an idiot!

And of course you provide nothing to the complaint, but attack posters. As to the OP, if Jason doesn't return with a reply, go down to your local Circuit City Store and they can look up the information easily on their computer.

The above response is NOT from me. I see someone has made a user account using my name and city. I think I have a good idea who it is tho. The employees of CC have run out of excuses and now want to make it look like they are being persecuted. Awe! poor CC employees! My heart bleeds for you. Cute Jason, Alex or Chris. Get a life. Now we know you dorks are just full of BS.

The receipt/bill I received in the mail has cityadvantage protection plan across the top with the circuit city logo. (cityadvantage is copyright 2004 of Circuit City Stores, Inc. All Rights Reserved. Revised August 2004.) The # is 32 5958994. I would prefer the 4-year contract instead of a full refund.

First off I will ask Ben NOT to respond because I am not trying to be an a*s... just asking questions If Ben thinks that I'm lying well... then I'm sorry Now to start First that fax number that they gave you is for a Circuit City cancellation form which is found in the store and that should be the only thing we use that line for, thus no response Second, if you don't mind posting your ticket number (located on the top of your original recepit)... I can look that up in my store and at least check to see that you have a warrenty. I've heard a few times of people getting scammed from people with access to phone numbers Third, you did mention CityAdvantage so maybe thats where you got the warrenty from but also if you send in the registration form from the TV the manufactuer will sometimes call and try to get warrenty from you so it may not be a Circuit City issue... just curious Either way, like I said before I am really trying to help with this issue, this may be something I can even fix for you... the main thing that I could do is look up your ticket and check for warrenty, if it's on there... I can goto my manager and see if we might straighten this out for you, also I can always send the cancellation form for you so you can get your full amount returned in check form Sorry for the hassle sir and that it came to this but I can try what I have available to me
