CIC Credit Monitoring Cancellation rip-off after cancellation of service Orange California
I signed up for this CIC CRedit Monitoring service in order to monitor my credit for a monthlly fee of $12.00. After reading comments on the web about how the same company was ripping people off with hidden fees etc., I decided to cancel my service by calling them. Everything appeared to go fine with the cancellation, but I was charged again the next month.
I called once more to cancel the membership, and the person I spoke with said that my file noted that I did call a month ago but that "I wanted to retain their services and continue to be billed for a free credit score"!! This was totally false! I had them re-cancel my membership, credit me back the $12 they charged me this month (which is due to be refunded in 7-10 days) and got the employees name and ID number this time around.
I hope I'm through with them now, but after what I've read about CIC Credit Monitoring I'm nervous and not totally suprised something went wrong. I'll see what happens next month! Buyer be warned!
