I searched for a specific cat on the Internet and found them for free adoption from Philip Simons. When in contact about these kittens we answered questions about experience and care of them. We were shown pics of three Abyssinian kittens and a write up of each. Mika was the male kitten, Bella and Shana were the females. We agreed to adopt Mika and Bella. If we just got one kitten the charge was $270 usd or $400 for both. Phil reccomend end that we use Chronos Express to ship the kittens as he had used them before. I had no reason to distrust Phil so I used their service and paid $400usd ($600 canadian) and was charged $30 money gram fee. It struck me a little odd that they wouldn't except any payment besides money gram (untraceable cash transfer) but I foolishly proceeded. I sent verification of payment and was notified within minutes of the tracking number for the kittens. All seemed well until I received an urgent email and multiple calls about the insufficient crates the kittens were being transported in. Chronos Express told me I needed to pay another $2000usd to get the kittens in the proper crates for delivery. I at this point felt like this was a scam and voiced my concerns to Phil. I was very clear I was not going to spend another dollar. Phil pretended to be concerned and said he would offer up$450 to get the cats in the proper crates. Chronos express (Tom Fay) confirmed Phil's payment of $450 and told me I needed to relinquish another $450 to get kittens to my place safely. I was very apprehensive at this point because of the unprofessionalism of this company and its polices. When I spoke in person to Tom Fay it was hard to understand him as English was not his first language and I could tell through emails and text with Phil and Tom that their grammar and sentence structure was the same. I asked for Tom's supervisors name which he wouldn't give me. He wouldn't respond when I asked basic questions about his company and the policies they stand behind. I searched online for any info about this company as their website seemed legit until you try to access any links or pages attached. I couldn't access any testimonials or any basic knowledge on the company other than what was posted. When asked about Sheroy Clarke as the money grams recipient, Tom was very adamant that Sheroy Clarke was not his boss. At this point I googled Sheroy Clarke and found another family has been scammed by this very person with the exact same adoption story as us. The sender (Phil Simons) was the only difference in our situation. I have sent a report to the BBB (better business bureau) warning about this company. I am also speaking with local authorities to stop these crooks before they scam another honest family. These kittens were supposed to be my children's Christmas gift. All this happened on Dec 23 2015
