Client Charlie Horton hired me to website work for CharlieHortonMusic.com / CharlieHortonSinger.com.
He paid the first two invoices just fine and raved about the work.
After facing technical limitations relating to their choice of hosting services (despite being advised of different options that could get them the results they wanted), Client voluntarily decided to cancel project.
Client confirmed that my services were satisfactory, noting that the limitations faced weren't my fault and disclaiming my responsibility in the process.
Client requested Invoice.
Client then decided not to pay the final invoice, owing over $200. I even negotiated down to $120 plus tax, with previous concerns about arbitrary stated budgets in mind. Client still decided not to pay final invoice.
Note - Client was also not under contract, and thus not protected by otherwise standard confidentiality clauses.
