I was looking to sell a piece of jewelery, a single diamond stud. I'd taken it to a local jeweler, who offered me $250 for it. I thought that was a bit low, so I took it to the jeweler who originally sold it, to get the details of the stone. Using this information I got estimate of the stone's worth, if I sold it to a jeweler. As I suspected, $250 was about 1/3 of what I should expect.
I googled to find another buyer and found cashfordiamondsusa.com. They claim to pay more than anyone else, (one claims to be three time everybody else) have quick turn around and easy return if you don't like what they pay. Not even.
The only issue I had was that I had to send the diamond and they would pay me after they got it. I was nervous sending it, and they don't tell you what they are offering, they just send you money. If you don't like it, you have to send them their money back.
They sent me $180. What crooks! Not only was it not more than anyone else, it was even lower than I'd already been offered. And they claimed that the diamond was smaller than it actually is. Now I'm worried that I won't get my diamond back but rather get some smaller cheaper stone. And of course, if I want the return shipment insured, I have to pay for the insurance.

I recently read the report on cashfordiamondsusa.com by scv-man dated: 3/31/2012 and quite frankly it sounds like a well written report by one of the competing gold/silver/diamond buyers. It stinks so bad that I had to get out my air freshener. many variables that cannot be ascertained except by credible sources. At this time I am sending an order to Cashfordiamondsusa and I will see and tell what I experience. The other branch of this company cashforgoldusa has been very professional and a service rep called me before my order, most pleasant experience. To know the veracity and expertise of cv/man's jewelry contacts and Jewelry store personnel is impossible to know. There are evil people out there who have no trouble in duping their customers. 180.00 was probably most generous offer for the crummy stone. I'll let everyone know how I fare with casfordiamondsusa.
