Cars protection plus So far gave me 2 junk transmissions and hasnt even left the shop yet Murrysville Pennsylvania
Had a transmission blow apart in my car. So since I bought the 4 year extended warranty through cars plus I decided to take the vehicle to the ford dealer and gave them the warranty papers. They then called cars plus and they told the dealer to do a teardown and diagnostic, which I already paid for. They accepted the claim since parts blew apart in the transmission and the case had a crack in it. So they gave me the option for either a used or remanufactured transmission. I chose the used since I was told I would have to pay over $4,000 for a remanufactured transmission, which means cars plus was not going to cover it. The first used transmission got delivered to the shop and the shop installed it. We got a call saying our car is ready for pickup. Went to the shop, paid nearly $2,000 and drove home with the car. After only having the car for a half an hour we took it back to the shop since it was not shifting right and threw check engine light. Shop took it out and sent it back to the junkyard in Ohio. They then sent a second transmission up here to pa but that transmission isn't responding to my vehicle. It's been almost 2 months in the shop, I'm $2,000 in the hole and don't even have a car. I'm going to have to do what I really don't want to do and that is spend another $2,000 and buy a transmission myself and pay for all the labor cost this time. I need help majorly.
