I have purchased the titanium coverage from carchex and recently I have had smoke come out of my exhaust after idle for 5 minutes. I brought the car to shop and the was going through my warranty and the when the adjuster came he denied the coverage for repair. 

i have a 2006 bmw 750li

My mechanic said said it's the valve seals. Which under my warranty it covers seals and gaskets. He said because it involves oil consumption it is not covered?! But yet it's a seal. So they basically said i paid 3700 for the warranty for no reason and I'm out of luck because it doesn't cover it. I never felt so cheated in my life. How is it that the only repair I have to do is somehow not covered. In this "amazing coverage of a plan they have" I specifically asked if valve seals are covered before purchasing the warranty because I was informed that the bmw 750li are known for this issue. And they clearly mentioned yes the seals are covered. And now I'm being given the run around. 

Ive ce tried contacted many people at carchex and they kept transferring me and putting me on hold and keep saying I'm not covered. This is not the service I paid for when I dished out the money.

My name is Sharon Resnick and I am the Customer Support Manager here at CARCHEX.  Our goal is always to resolve every customer issue immediately and  to the customer’s satisfaction. We spoke to this customer as soon as we became aware of the claim denial. We communicated to the customer that we would investigate the claim denial with the administrator to determine if the denial was appropriate or if we believed an error was made by the administrator.  We then reviewed all the information that was provided to us from the Vehicle Service Contract Administrator and the third party inspector who was sent to the repair facility to evaluate the failure.

 

In this case we agree with the VSC administrator that the claim was properly denied based on the terms and conditions of the customer’s contract. In an attempt to assist the customer and as a sign of good faith, we have offered to provide the customer with a full refund of the premium paid into the Vehicle Service Contract. At this time, the customer has chosen not to accept this remedy.  We will update this post should we reach a resolution with the customer.
