CAMCO ripoff, CAMCO sent a letter saying i owed 1,216.96 from a visa card i never had, said in the end they would settle debt for 199.00 ROCKFORD Illinois

i recieved a letter in the mail today and opened it to find an attempt to collect a debt of 1,216.96. i called the 877 number to find out what the debt was for. a mr trevor jackson said it was for a visa card from 1991.
i told him i had never had a visa card in 1991 from the particular bank he mentioned , in fact i didn't even have a credit card at all at that time.he assured me he was not trying to upset me, and said we could ettle this without me getting upset, i am on disability and also have a heart condition at 47.
bottom line he went from asking for 1200 some $ to 199.00 all i had to do is give him 4 post dated checks of 50.00 each and we would avoid litigation.

Dale Check out puy post on in this CAMCO section. "Author: Simi Valley, California" In my post i have a fer letters. One is a diclosure letter and the other is a Cease and desist letter. Coppy them and send them off. IF the call tell them to go to hell, or toy woth the little scamers. If the keep on calling call your lawer. Also keep records of everything. There is nothing they can do. So don't blow a gasken man... keep a cool head, there is nothing to worry about.
