Double/Triple check Brownstone Inn "reservations" ..reserving rooms they do not have.
If you make a reservation at The Brownstone Inn, I would suggest having a backup reservation somewhere else just in case. I made a reservation (with phone number and credit card info) about two weeks before my visit. The day before my visit, I received a call from a friend (whom I had recommended the B&B to) saying I should call the Innkeeper. Mr. Yates informed me that another party had made reservations months earlier, and he could no longer accomodate me the next day. Mr. Yates kindly offered to help find another B&B, but I selected The Brownstone Inn based on its proximity to the Cleveland Clinic, and there were no other options close by.
I guess it is a general rule of thumb that I should have called to reconfirm -- and I usually do -- but I usually do that about two weeks before my trip. Since I made the "reservation" so recently, I did not think about it this time.
