The above listed report complements Roto-Rooter on our quick response to their call. That much is true. Roto-Rooter then proceeded to locate the customer's sewer line and diagnose the problem. Roto-Rooter did "probe" the ground to find the sewer line, the ground was already saturated with sewage and the pipe at the customers house was a substandard very thin pipe and it is not legal according to IPC code (which is the governing plumbing code for the state of Oklahoma). Roto-Rooter informed the customer of our professional diagnosis. The customer became unhappy with their situation. This is very understandable because no one likes to spend money on plumbing problems. In this case it became a situation of 'kill the messenger'. The customer did have their problem fixed by another company for the same price Roto-Rooter would have charged. The person who fixed the customers problem was not a licensed plumber and was not insured, but did do what Roto-Rooter said needed to be done and charged what Roto-Rooter would have charged. (I often wonder if the person who fixed the problem would have known what to do without our FREE diagnosis.) In summation Roto-Rooter promptly responded to the customer by sending a licensed journeyman plumber to the customers house. Roto-Rooter paid the plumber, we paid the gas to drive to the customers house. We paid all of the overhead associated with doing a job. The customer received an on site diagnosis of their plumbing problem. Roto-Rooter was never paid for this job, never received one penny. A rip off is not getting what you pay for; I don't see how receiving a benefit and not paying for it can be considered a "rip off". This dispute has been resolved according to the Better Business Bureau. Roto-Rooter in Tulsa enjoys an A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau. Roto-Rooter prides itself on giving expert service at the best price.
