A man by the name of Bill Russell who resides in Oakman Alabama is a Scam artist who takes advantage of sickly widowed women. A woman held a mortgage on a trailer and land to a couple who in turn sold it to this man who then promised to make payments and the moved out and sold it to another couple who thought that they outright owned it.

In turn the Mortgager foreclosed and took it to court to have them removed. They were removed and in turn Bill Russell moves in right behind them and trys to start making payments again. She in turn takes him to court where he appeals the day before she dies. We then go to court again and it is ruled to evict him and he is to pay court costs and attorney's fees.

He still refuses to leave the property. If anyone is out there and this man offers to pay you for something DO NOT ACCEPT IT! Make sure it is a cash only deal. He will take advantage of you and then use the courts to get away with it.

Let's stop people like this who are SQUATTERS and take advantage of old women who are sickly. He is a smooth talker and portrays himself to be a Christian. DO NOT BELIEVE FOR ONE MINUTE WHAT HE SAYS! He has proven to be a liar and con artist and is still taking advantage of the courts and us.

I just received a call like this one today. The individual stated his name as Bill Russell and that he was my Prize Director. I was told that I had entered a sweepstakes, either online or at a shopping mall, and was congratulated for having won. Prizes were either a 2015 Lincoln (I do not remember the model) or one of three other prizes. Bill Russell also informed me that some sort of forms concerning the contest had been mailed to my home address, but that I had failed to respond, and this phone call would be the final attempt to contact me concerning the contest. I was given a phone number 855-393-4946. This call was left as a message on my home phone. I have never received the forms he alluded to in the message. I have researched this and it is definitely a scam. Many online sources indicate Bill Russell to be a cellphone scammer, but the message left me was on a regular phone, not a cellular or mobile device, so he's more clearly a general phone scammer. He referred to me by my first name, but not my last name; had he been legitimate, both names would have been used. He also said he was my prize director, but did not mention that he was connected with or representing any firm. Surely, if the prize were real, he would have identified himself as representing the firm who fronted the contest. Let's face it: "you won a contest" doesn't cut the mustard. I was surprised to find out that some people phone him back, and he is known to use at least one other toll-free number. One person stated that he hung up on him/her. One other left a message to which he has never responded. I have assumed that he is "phishing" for personal information and I would advise everyone not to respond to him in any way, shape or form.
