Bought a silverado used fm b. heard las vegas on 9/4/08. About a week or so later the local news reported b. heard closed his dealership as well as others nationwide. We hoped all was well and our salesman assured us the deal went thru and we will get our green slip for registration anyday. It never showed. Meanwhile no one would answer calls at heard. We called countless times. Then we got a msg to call them. Tried back another 50 times with no answer.

We went to findlay chevy to seek help. They said they could check our deal thru they're system. They assures us the deal was good and there was no problem. But there is!

The finance manager finally contacted us and said they needed the truck back due to all Bill heard lenders not honoring contracts due to gmac sending out letters to lenders. We inquired about our down payment refund. We were told that on 10/4/08 it would be paid at the dealership as soon as the bankruptcy judge released funds. After that every day we got the runaround about video conferences and the yahoos running the show had'nt made a decision and they (finance mngr) said they did'nt know yet.

Then on 10/09/08 we were told to contact a lawyer in Florida and that he had been awarded power of attorney and would be in charge of sending consumers and employees there perspective funds. We contacted him and he was on vacation, for holiday. We got a run around on leaving msg with the assistant. We called today 10/10/08 and talked with C. Tattlebaum attorney at law.

he assured us this was not true and that although he is a gm affilliated lawyer it was a Bill heard problem and that we should go there and they should be able to resolve it. Meanwhile last communication fm b. heard was they were closing shop and the property was being sold. And until it is sold and in escrow no funds would be released.

This has caused loss of work, money and created undue stress, loss of sleep, and loss of time trying to resolve this matter.

We want answers and anyone that has had similar case let us know. Somethings fishy in denmark or more so in heardland. Total bogus buisness practice and seems like it 's the blind leading the blind over there.

I would be putting the payments in a separate bank account and documenting what you had already sent in. I hoped they figured out where you would be sending the payments.

This is becoming a common practice among General Motors dealerships. Its unethical and wrong. Don't contact their attorneys. Also there are some links a gentleman posted on one of the Georgia reports on here.
