Bens Roofing owes me 2200 dollars.Onc e again I am trying to get reimbursement from any one at Bens Roofing. Matt promised me that I would get full reimbursment . He came to my home in Dec. 07 and gave me 500 dollars of the 2700 that I am owed. He didnt want us to sign a reciept or anything to acknowledge the transaction. Now I know why. He was just stringing us along so the company had time to close before I sued, Im sure there were others like myself that were owed money.I am writing this third time to warn others of the people involved with this company. Bens Roofing CCC# 51540 be on the lookout for that number because it was used for both the Riviera Beach Bens and the West Palm Bens Roofing.

The original persons who took my payments and failed to pay thier suppliers were Greg Haddox and Brian Lamphron. Both should be considered untrustworthy. I understand that Greg is now working for another roofer in west palm with connections to Ohio and North Carolina. Remember these names Greg Haddox , Brian Lamphron , Matt Hoosier All three lied to me and are refusing my calls .

Bens Roofing has turned off its website and thier phone is no longer in service. My biggest mistake was chosing Bens Roofing because they advertised page two in The Miami Herald. I have notified Channel 10 Problem solvers(they did a story about Bens Roofing removing the roof on a house by mistake), The Department of buisiness regulations, The Better Buisiness Beureu , and Ripoff reports. Thank you Ripoff Reports, the only reason I got back 500 dollars is because Matt saw my original report on your website and contacted me.

WEST PALM
BEACH, Fla. - A Palm Beach County roofer accused of bilking his
customers out of millions of dollars has been arrested. Gregory Haddox
was arrested Thursday morning. Haddox was
booked into the Palm Beach
County jail on seven separate charges of fraud. His arrest follows a
News Channel 5 investigation into Haddox and his company, United
Roofing.  Haddox is accused of not only writing bad checks but cashing
the insurance checks of his customers and never finishing the work

another one is:

Roofer Gregory Haddox followed Hurricane Wilma to the tarp-covered homes of South Florida. Soon after, in 2006, he was jailed because he had no license. Despite his guilty plea, Haddox has continued to operate, leaving a trail of lawsuits and angry homeowners and subcontractors in his wake. The people who hired United Roofing Systems LLC say Haddox has failed to perform in a variety of ways: He has taken their deposits and done no work. He has installed shoddy roofs. He has failed to pay subcontractors, leaving homeowners with the bill. At least 30 homeowners are now facing possible foreclosure from unpaid contractors. Haddox is the sole officer and owner of United Roofing Systems. He has no contractor's license. The state license issued for United is held by Lonnie Brodock, owner of Brodock Roofing Inc. Both companies list 1832 Wabasso Drive as their mailing address. Haddox and Brodock did not return calls placed to United Roofing Systems.

Another one:

Updated: 4:07 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010

A company run by a roofer facing a litany of lawsuits alleging shoddy work and failure to pay subcontractors wrote as many as 300 bad checks per month while doing business in Palm Beach County, authorities said. That revelation came after the manager of United Roofing Systems LLC, Gregory Haddox, was arrested Thursday on felony charges of writing worthless checks. The case, made by Palm Beach County Sheriff's Detective Darla Sauers, revolves around a deal between Haddox and Michael Cully, a suburban Boynton Beach homeowner whose roof was damaged during Hurricane Wilma. Cully told investigators he hired United Roofing to repair the damage, agreeing to turn over Tower Hill Insurance Group checks totaling $46,884.93 to the company in exchange for work. When the actual cost of the work proved less than that amount, United Roofing agreed to return $11,631.98 to Cully and cut him a check, which bounced. The company told Cully they would work out a payment plan and wrote him another check, this time for $2,000, detectives said. That check bounced too. When Sauers scrutinized United Roofing's bank accounts, she found the company often operated in the red and passed between 200 and 300 bad checks per month, Sauers said in an affidavit for Haddox's arrest. He was taken Thursday to the Palm Beach County Jail, where he was released hours later after posting $70,000 bond. Cully, who couldn't be reached for comment this afternoon, wasn't the only United Roofing customer to claim he was ripped off. People who hired the company say it took their deposits and did no work, that it installed shoddy roofs
and failed to pay subcontractors, sticking homeowners with the bill, The Palm Beach Post reported last month. "There's a whole horrible chain of events that is lurking out there, including the people I represent who have been very badly damaged by all this," said attorney Larry Newman, who added that he's a victim of United Roofing  and also represents six jilted Haddox customers. "This is just the tip of all the of people who have been burned." At least 30 homeowners now are facing possible foreclosure from unpaid contractors. United and Haddox have been sued in Palm Beach County Circuit Court by more than a dozen companies, including Dumpsters R Us in West Palm Beach and Latite Roofing in Pompano Beach, as well as individuals. Haddox advertised that his company had a staff of insurance claims specialists when it had none, according to the Florida Department of Financial Services. In February, the department issued a cease and desist order against United Roofing Systems and Haddox. Haddox, 37, came to South Florida from Ohio, where he had a string of judgments, foreclosures, bankruptcies, federal and state tax liens and other problems, according to court records.

Those problems appear to be ongoing. In October, an Akron municipal
court issued a warrant for his arrest on theft charges. He was
convicted and charge. Mr Haddox was using Ben's Roofing's name without
our knowledge. He Stole thousands of dollars and was depositing the
check made to Ben's Roofing in his account (Bank of America). These
articles or complaints are untrue (Slander and Defamation of Character). As you see clearly from the above that Mr Haddox is a fraud and has no credibility. Before adding adds and complaints, Please look at their criminal history prior to passing judgment. There has never been a charge or a lawsuit placed on our company. Ben` Roofing is a company that takes pride in what they do. We are the only company that follow the manufacturers specification and do not cut corners as they call it. Mike Beni stands 100% behind his company and has been a proud owner for several years and earned his respect through the years with hard, honest and quality work. We are terribly sorry to the people that Mr Haddox has Played as he has played us as well along with other companies. Mr Haddox has not been employed with us for several years and we have no intentions of hiring him back.

Dear Mr. Ed; I hated to see you apologize for your remarks against Greg Maddox and Brian Lamphron. Greg Maddox was using Mike Beni's license number to conduct business in Florida. Matt Hoosier was also using Mike Beni's license number. Greg would avoid Mike Beni's calls like the plague. They had a limit on the amount they were allowed to write checks for out of the Bens Roofing account. anythiing over $2,000.00 they were supposed to call Mike to get his signature. Brian Lamphron was seen on multiple occasions forging Mike's signature to pay crews or whatever because they said it was too much trouble to wait on Mike. Greg opened an account at another bank to cash Bens Roofing checks. Mike is an old man who trusted someone he shouldn't have trusted and now he is paying for it with his license that he worked so hard for and his reputation. There is an ongoing investigation but Mr. Ed, you were right not to trust them. They started another company and left Mike hanging and that is wrong in so many ways. They also left customers hanging and that too is wrong. Also it is wrong of you to apologize because you were right in everything you said and it is so very easy to prove. They opened fraudulent bank accounts in Mikes name and buyers should beware. I think you should retract your apology and go with what you originally stated and let all buyers beware who deal with Greg Maddox or Brian Lamphron and any company they deal with. He took Mike Beni for thousands of dollars and probably some customers too.

APOLOGY

#6Author of original report

Wed, August 06, 2008

I have been writing on the website ripoffreport.com and I have been blaming the wrong people based upon inaccurate information that I had received. I have unfairly accused Greg Haddox, Brian Lamphron and their company, United Roofing. Prior to staring United Roofing, these people were involved in another company as employees and were not owners as I had thought. I should not have blamed the employees for actions of their prior company. United Roofing has not been unethical and in fact, I did some checking and discovered that United Roofing, Greg Haddox and Brian Lamphron have a great roofing company that has become one of the leading roofing companies in South Florida over the past year since they started it. Real people admit their mistakes and I am deeply apologetic for any harm my prior comments may have caused to Greg Haddox, Brian Lamphron and United Roofing based upon my mis-information. I apologize for the assumptions I was going under that may have caused unintentional and unnecessary damage to United and the 50 good people and their families employed at United Roofing. I was selfish and angry and lashed out without fully investigating the situation and for the unfair damage I may have caused. I am truly sorry. You can be sure if I ever need a Roof again, United Roofing and their great staff would be the people I would call. Sincerely - Ed

The time has come that I must face the fact that I may never see my money. All involved in my ripoff have moved on, starting new roofing companys looking for more unwary customers. I suggest before making final payment make sure all the payments have been made to the suppliers of the roofer. Then you can avoid being RIPPED OFF!

Some ex employee is trying to portray Matt Hoosier (A to Z roofing and tile) as a man of integrity. As far as Im concerned he lied to me saying that I would be reimbersed the money that Bens owed me. He is now ignoring my calls and I am forced to file a lawsuit against him since he now has power of attorney for Bens Roofing (owner MIcheal Beni of Sarnia Ontario Canada.) The blame game has gone on long enough.. Gregg , Brian , Matt BENS ROOFING Owes me 2200 dollars. As a working father of two the stress that they placed on my finances has been great, Never in my life have I felt the anger that I have now against these con men. Look at the Palm Beach Public records website and see the many lawsuit settlements against them. GOD FORGIVE THEM.

Matt Hoosier was a victim of Greg & Brians GREED!

Though I am an ex-employee of Ben's Roofing (WPB), I would like to clarify a few points to defend Matt Hoosier. There were two seperate offices of Ben's Roofing, and though they shared the same qualifier, that is basically all they shared. Matt broke off from Greg and Brian by the end of 2006 because of the practices these two were perpetrating. In ALL my dealings with Matt, he strived for doing the right thing. I was impressed with his integrity and fairness in dealing with the problems that arose due to Greg and Brians mismanagement of their office.

My facts are true,Bens Roofing Ripped Me Off... i paid in full ,handed the money to Brian and he knowingly strung me along with promises of reimbursement over many months. He personally said to me that it would be taken care of .Needless to say it wasnt. The facts are that Bens roofing is or was owned by Micheal M Beni of Canada,How could I expect to get money that im owed from a person who is thousands of miles away from his problems .The fact is that this company is now gone, and checking the sunbiz websight i see that a lawsuit was settled against him for hundreds of thousands of dollars. I understand that Greg who originally sold me the roof is now with United Roofing Systems, one suite away from where Bens use to be.Suite 14. So Beware Of United Roofing Systems. The same cheater is working for them. Matt at least you tried to do the right thing by giving me some money to keep me from filing a small claims lawsuit , Im afraid that was just another ploy to keep me from filing until the company went under,Shame on you all for being dishonest with your customers. I am resigned to the FACT that I may never see this money again.Brian the fact is that you were wrong in what you did and Greg too. You were not some poor shlep doing his job as you claim. If an employee of Fisher Price knowingly did somthing wrong, yes they would be responsible. This may be the last you here about this matter.. I give up >>YOU RIPPED ME OFF FOR TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS THANKS

The three people named by "Ed" are being unfairly criticized. We worked at a company and had to follow their guidelines. We didnt own the company or make the rules and yet all the blame falls into our laps. I think its disgusting to be blamed for the way a company conducts itself when you have no decision making capabilities. We quit that company because we did not like the practices and yet we personally are being dragged through the mud. Would "Ed" like it if he was judged for the things his company does. Is it fair to blame the employee at Fisher Price for making a toy unsafe to children. Check the articles of incorporation for Bens Roofing and see if any of our names are on them. I am soory for "Eds" bad fortune but employees are not to blame. If only "Ed" factored this in to his unfair criticism of a poor shlep doing his job.
