Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I received a phone call saying I had been approved for an unsecured credit card. Due to my bad credit rating, however, there would be a $299 setup fee (including Medical/Dental Plan).

They asked me for my bank information and a check number to use for the transaction. After I had given all the information I was given my contract number.

I was told someone would come on the line for verification purposes and the call would be recorded. At this time they told me the setup fee was non-refundable and verified the information I gave them.

I called numerous times asking the status of the "card". They said it took 20 business days. They had to put the package together and find a bank that would approve me for a credit card. I then asked for my money back and they said if I didn't receive the card by Friday to call them.

When it came I received nothing but applications for a Stored Value Mastercard for $54 (World Wide Card Network), Complete Medical Discounts for $19.95 (Financial Health Group),a possible loan with "National Money Services, Inc."

I did get 3 plastic cards: HotelAccess/RecreationAccess (Access International) and Global Rx Pharmacy Program (Universal Rx)

Good for a lifetime no less!

The promotions included: Sentrex Direct Technologies(free Dish Network Satellite System and Wireless Phone), Royal Caribbean International(free cruise), Good Life Group(free DigitalCamera, Camcorder & PC Camera all in one!$29.95 shipping & handling).

Also GrocerySavers.com (save $1,000). A gift certificate from www.selectyourgifts.com for $1,000 worth of merchandise and Services (you pay shipping per item, $5 order processing fee).

I imediately called the company and demanded a refund. I was told the bank must not have trusted me with an unsecured credit card because of my credit so they sent me that instead.

I was told to send in the application w/$54. Transfer money from my bank to the card and use it for 2 or 3 months. My purchases would be reported to a Credit Agency everytime I used it. At the end of that time I would be issued an unsecure credit card.

I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau at www.bbbwestflorida.org Here is the information I got:

Let's not leave out "Tony Jefferson" the Supervisor I spoke with who thinks everyone but him is stupid. He was such a joke!

I also contacted every one of the Companys from the promotions and registered complaints. Next I am filing a complaint with the FCC. These people need to be stopped!

Luckily I contacted my bank before the 60 days and I am having the charges reversed. Thank God I found Rip-off Report.com - badbusinessbureau.com

Thank you very much! And I hope more people find this place and more can be done about these Rip Off Scams!

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!
