Beaus & Eros International is the worse company to do a home show with back in May of 2001 I had a home show in which the agent talked me into writting a check for everyones purchase in order to make a sale, when it came time to recieve the order I had not received money from all parties involved I issued a stop payment on the check called Beaus & Eros and cancelled the order, the merchandise was never shipped and til this date they are trying to make me pay for, merchandise I do not have , they have went through great lengths trying to collect money from me for merchandise I do not have , they have sent it to the prosecuting attorneys office, the prosecting attorneys office refused to prosecute me due to the fact the stop pay was legal, and Beaus & Eros did not respond to any of the calls made to they're office by the prosecuting attorney , then they turned it over to a collection agency , the agency doesnt even want to handle it now they are referring it to an Attorney who is not responding to any of my calls or messages. So in closing do not have a Beaus & Eros show because they will try to make you pay for merchandise that you do not have.

I have reported this to the Attorney Gernerals office.

Why should I pay for merchandise I do not have.....

How Not to Pay a Bad Check!

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Wed, July 30, 2003

It is unfortunate when there is one complaint published, with no further investigation or notification to the "rip-off" company or individual, proclaiming injustice and ill treatment. Someone, who is a good client has finally seen this after two years and alerted me to the consumer's published complaint, allowing me to have a response in the defense of a company which has been in business for 20 years. This individual did write a check for all the orders taken at her party. Each of her guests wrote her a check or paid her cash, she then wrote one check for all those orders to the company. We do this in order to help to stop those who write bad checks (people rarely write bad checks to their friends)and our hostesses (those who write the one check for all the orders) rarely write a bad check to us the company. There was no way that our rep could have sold this lady on writing the one check for all the orders as we have a policy where the customer's can write a check to the company with proper id to the company bypassing the hostess if the hostess wishes or does not have a checking account. This consumer received money from invited guests; wrote us a check; let that check clear the consumer's and our bank once and then put a stop payment on the check, returning it to us. When called from our offices by Ms. Smallwood who was our collector and asked the consumer to pay for the stop payment as they were other people's orders, the consumer refused to do so. When told that our rep who had worked for four hours that evening would receive no compensation, this consumer's attitude was that was just too bad. The consumer informed us that each guest had decided to cancel their orders (we never could reach any guests, so we have really have no idea what was told to them by the consumer)and we sent the consumer's check to the prosecuting attorney's office. This office declined to collect as the consumer told them the orders were cancelled by the guests and, the amount wasn't overly large. We simply put the bad check in the hands of professional collector's. This really made the consumer angry. The consumer wrote the Attorney General of the state, which upon investigation dropped everything. The consumer wrote the Better Business Bureau, who again investigated but upon response from us and what happened left it alone. However, the consumer's credit report does show that the consumer wrote a bad check. We appreciate our customers and wished this consumer to do nothing but pay us for the orders that her guests wanted (and did) spend that night, paying our rep for her time. This consumer felt that nothing should go to the rep who had paid a babysitter; drove her car to the consumer's home and back; taken at least four hours of her time providing a fun atmosphere for the consumer and the consumer's friends letting them try her products and try on her lingerie. This consumer felt justified in not letting her earn her commission just by not paying. Last but certainly not least, there are at least 8 other consumer's out there who chose to spend money with Beaus & Eros that evening and who never received what they wanted and have been told what horrific things, wehave no idea . By Missouri law, anyone may cancel an order and they have three business days to do so, regardless of the circumstances. No one called and cancelled any orders. Nothing was cancelled until the check bounced and was payment was stopped. This check took over two weeks to come back bad, did those customer's really cancel? Who will ever know. Our rep went without compensation, the clients went without their orders and did this consumer pocket the money or as she said never get it all(?) from the buyers. We will never know. Thanks for the opportunity to let us at least rebut. If it was worth it, and we were a new emerging company we would sue this lady for malicious slander; but, we have been providing great service and products to our clients for over 20 years and, we thank God business is good.
