It's too bad that Jesus stood up against the Sanhedrin, who were the Jewish leaders of his day. Jesus was also a Jew, as many people know. It appears that there may have been some type of an 'uprising' by the people back in that part of the world. Maybe it was similar to what's going on now in the Middle East.

I know this will work out, I read your story and see that you have been patient. My suggestion is that you email Ken Lewis at [email protected], trust me when I say this will help. His secretary will call you back it will probably take a few days but she responded to my emails on his behalf. You also need to call the corporate offices for B of A and speak to someone in the resolution department. The people in that department are not in a call center simply taking your info and ignoring your calls they really do help. I pray everything works out for you.

Limiting your free speech is the least they could do to you given the power you assign to them. I don't know about California, but here in NY, such a CD must go through Probate before it's paid to anyone. This is to allow a period of time for any claims from creditors to be filed and processed against the ESTATE of your ex-father-in-law. It may be similar in California. Also, joint accounts are not immune from Probate here in NY. We learned that lesson when my wife's mom passed away. The joint checking account (Mom and my wife) was FROZEN (except for checks that were already out) when my wife notified the bank that Mom passed. After my wife was appointed by the court as executrix of Mom's ESTATE, she was allowed to access ESTATE assets including the joint checking account. I suggest you consult with a probate attorney to see what you're options are. I would not waste any time in requesting an executor for the estate being appointed. Good luck.

First, I wouldn't listen to Karl - he's been sitting next to the Nuclear Power Plant for too long and now his brain is fried. I might actually believe some of his stuff if he actually stopped posting this garbage. If anything he said was true, he would be silenced immediately by the powers that be. None of them would allow the 1st amendment to be in their way. On the other hand, if he were silenced, I think we'd all enjoy it just a little bit. I would keep working this at the branch end; I would not only get the manager's name, but his schedule. You need to be dealing with him, in person, and with nobody else. No matter the issue, you're not going to get anywhere trying to resolve this via telephone. It's not that the bank's customer service is totally inept - it's just too complex legally and otherwise to try and resolve this via phone. This is a good lesson for people - never just have one name on an account. If the account with your father-in-law were also in your husband's name - the account would or could have been setup as joint owners on the account, and the account would pass to your husband legally upon the death of his father. It's not that the bank won't give you the money - it's just not a simple transaction to handle.
