Bally's Total Fitness is a 110% complete ripoff company. I entered the bally's sweepstakes to win a year membership at a restaurant in Fresno, CA (June 2004). A week later I get a call from a Bally's salesperson. This Bally's gym was located on Shaw Ave in Fresno, CA. The Salesperson, Abel Perez, told me that I won a 2 week free membership and invited me in. When I got to the gym, I was offered a 3 year contract which I refused to sign. I had given all my information (DL, Social Security #, address and phone number) but I refused to sign a 3 year contract. I also did not give them a bank routing number nor credit card number. I told Abel that I am not intersted in the 3 year contract and just wanted my 2 weeks for free. Recently I got a copy of a 3 year contract from the collection agency and my signature is forged on it. I never did sign it and that is what I told the collection agencey. About 3 months later, I started getting collection calls from Bally's total fitness at work. This lasted a month or so and stopped. In 2006, I moved to Los Angeles and ran a credit report. I saw that I was on collections with a collection agency for a debt owed to Bally's. I ended up becoming good friends with Abel in 2006. Abel told me that managers at Bally's do things like forge signatures for their sales people.

I like to start a class action lawsuit against Bally's for forging signatures and about their marketing efforts thru the sweepstakes of winning a gym membership. I did not get my two weeks and instead am getting hit hard on my credit score. Everyone that signs up thru the sweepstakes never gets their 2 weeks for free. Everyone should be entitled to 2 weeks for free in addtion to their contract. There is a reason why the sweepstakes is only allowed in certain states. The sweepstakes is a ripoff as Ballys does not give the 2 weeks for free.
