Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

So I went to buy brand new furniture for the first time.  I had a pretty good idea of what I needed and was ready to purchase.  Being my first time purchasing new furniture I was not exactly sure how the process was,  I really didn't even realize you could haggle on furniture.  I was greeted immediately by a salesman named Cody.  He explained to me immediately that if I wanted to do financing I would pay the entire sticker price however if I had to funds he would give me roughly  40% off of the sticker price depending on what is manager would a approve also stating he could not make any promises. (He said this about 50 times throughout the process).  I made the mistake of telling him I had never bought new furniture before and I also needed it fairly quickly because I was moving into a new home.   Obviously I should have known better being that I've been in sales my entire adult life.

When we finally found a living room set that was in stock and included sectional couch, a coffee table, two lamps on the two end tables, a living room rug and a couch throw, we started to wrap everything up.

I had already picked my bed, mattress,  desk, chair, and a lamp for the desk.

He kept saying that he wasn't sure what he could do with the prices because his manager was giving him a hard time about dropping the price.  I found this fairly amusing because every time he said he was going to talk to his manager I saw him at a computer across the store with no manager next to him and he had already told me he could give me 40% off the sticker price, with no promises of course.

When he finally did all the totals he showed me the final number which we agreed upon and I had asked him at least three times that this included the two lamps for the two end tables for the living room, the living room rug and the throw for the couch.

He assured me it did.  His manager then came over and introduced himself.   He told me that he was going to switch some numbers around on the computer And that it wouldn't affect the total number but he was going to give me more coverage on my bed by switching some numbers around,  I felt a little fishy about the situation but I figured it was just something normal that they do.

Upon the final wrap up of the sale the salesman Cody told me that he normally hand writes every item that I'm going to get out but since it was late in the evening he didn't want to keep us so he just ran his pen up-and-down the piece of paper and asked me to initial and sign for the final number. I felt very weird about this but I went ahead anyway.

When my furniture came There were no lamps no rug and no throw for the couch.   When I called in the person at the front desk or who works in customer service told me she did not see it on my order and there was nothing she could do about it. I then called back the next day and asked to speak to the sales manager Chez.   He told me I could buy the products But they were not showing on my order so it was obvious that they took the items off of my bill to get to the price we talked about still assuring me I would be getting those products and snuck it past me on the paperwork.

Upon explaining this to the sales manager chez he told me he would speak to his boss to see if he could get me the products sent out but of course no promises again. He told me he would call me back, I never heard back. After 5 days I called the store and he would not get on the phone with me he had the same girl who had answered the phone the 1st time do the talking.  She said ok we will send you one lamp and a rug but it was not for the living room set. So she said would call me with the correct products and never did.

This is how I was treated after going easy on the sales guy so he could make an easy commission.

Be careful with their tactics,  they will pull the dirtiest tricks and then avoid you on the phone and make the administration girls try to smooth you over while they avoid you.

Never going there again.  Making a BBB complaint, a complaint to the consumer affairs division at the AG.  Being in sales my entire adult life I know a shady sales department when I see one.
