Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
A month ago I made a payment to a manager and he told me of a program that would bring my account current and he gave me his number to call back to make the next payment.

I have been receiving messages and I have talked to one telling them that I am dealing with this Mr. Crawford and this program. Trying to make a payment I called Mr. Crawford and left a message for him to return my call. At this time a Ms. Williams calls me and basically telling me that I had no business talking to him the she was my case manger.I explaned the process agin that he had told me and she states that I would have to deal with her.

In this process of her talking over me and would not let me talk she began to raise her voice to me. I tried to explain this is the second time that this company has screwed me. Early I made two payments with in two weeks being told that this would bring my account up to date. To my surprise NOT! When I tried to tell her about this she tried to turn the tables on me again and became highly rude.

Several times I have tried to contact the supervisor over her and tring to get things strait and the company will not give me the superviosr and keeps giving me her. How does a company with so much business and customers stay active if they are so rude and hatefull to them???? Someone needs to bring them back down to a resonable level.

Everything they say about Auto One/Citifinancial/Arcadia/Transouth is true.

I know this is a late entry but since I am being denied another car because of the repo it's pretty fresh in my mind right now. Auto One told me that they would defer two of my car payments for me if I paid two that were past due. I did just that knowing I wouldn't be working for awhile. Two months pass by and sure enough I get a call that I am two months pass due. The woman that was supposed to deter those payments advised me that she had made a mistake but that she couldn't do anything about it and I had to pay those two months PLUS the current month. Auto One waited EXACTLY until I was 90 days past due and than repossessed my car. That repo is the ONLY negative thing I have on my credit report. I haven't heard from them for 2 years or so. I am not sure if this resurgence of credit application will cause them to find me. I just hope they're ready for a fight if that's their angle. In fact, I am debating going to the FTC and seeing if I can get this puppy wiped off. I am so unimpressed with Citi that everytime I apply for something I verify it's not them. Everything you heard is true. Never get a loan with this company.

Citifinancial is the rudest auto finance poeple around. Isn't it typical for an employee to protect their company. Citifinancial has no compassion for people who have financial probelms. They say if you are having trouble, they will help you, guess what, they DON'T. When you call in, they give you the run around. IF you can at all, try to refinance with another company and get as far away from them as possible. They sold our account to Capitol One Auto after we hired an attorney to get them to stop harrassing us for our payments before they were due. You have to watch these guys, they are slick jerks and have way to much power.

I have been reading all of these complaints and venomous remarks for a few evenings now. I can sympathize with most of you and I understand the frustration that goes along with having financial difficulties. Let me only say that I have been working at this company for a long long time and have worked in various departments within the organization. Not all Customer Service reps are rude. Not all the customers past or present are unhappy. Many people have had good customer service from our company. The only reassurance I can give any of you is that there are controls in place for FDCPA violations and there are people in the company who care about your situations. I can hear many numbers of people taking calls from customers on a daily basis who are trying to help and are not rude or unethical. I understand that there are many dealerships out there who arent practicing good ethics and some may even be breaking the law. Citigroup aquired Arcadia, Transouth, Auto One and the Associates. Citi has been taking steps to make sure that all FDCPA and fair lending laws are being practiced. From my experience with this company, Citi has some of the strictest policies and has checks and balances in place to monitor calls. You cant expect them to hear every call that is placed or have enough man hours to hire someone to listen to every call. Any consumer has rights by the law and should be encouraged to make sure that those rights are being protected. Sub-prime lending is a tough business and let's all be reasonable here. People who are trying to build credit regardless of past history will end up getting higher interest rates. In my experience as both a lender and an auto purchaser, I have found that many people do not read the contract or the fine print. I have heard stories like the ones posted here on a daily basis from other employees. I dont want to be offensive to anyone and I wont participate in name calling. I am truly grateful that I have a job and I can appreciate many peoples financial hardships. My advice to any one would be this: Make the phone calls, get in touch with represenatives, and yes, if you feel like you were mistreated or laws were broken, contact an attorney. Be persistent and you will eventually get in contact with someone in the company who will be forthcoming. There is a dispute resolution department here in Texas that is there to help people who have issues with their credit bureaus, titles, and other account questions. Not every Citi-Auto employee is like that and I know that most are not. Please think about what I have wrote and understand that the company as a whole is a a good one and they take very good care of its employees and its customers. Give them a chance to change your mind by calling in and calming down and listening. They WILL give you the same respect. I know I would. Thanks for listening, A Citifinancial Auto Employee
