Application Filing Service This website is a scam. They will collect your personal information and a $39 fee and then mail you a blank application form and tell you to go to the local office to complete an application. (In my case, a replacement social security card). Do not let them scam you or phish your personal information. The forms they were 'helping' you with are free, and you can only apply through an appropriate government office. This company charged me $39 for a fraudulent and useless service Internet

Yes this website charges for something that is free but.... I too fell for it. But reading their fine print they clearly show that getting a replacement Social Security card is free and that their service is to help make it easier. It was easy to enter info and then the form was easy to print and take to my local office BUT ... my issue is that I thought I was on the SS website and fault myself for not being more diligent with such sensitive info. This company should put the disclaimer at the top if their webpage indicating that they are NOT Affiliated with the US Government or Social Security administation in my opinion. Lesson learned by me.
