American Home Shield ripoff victimized many consumers SAVE YOUR MONEY! THIS COMPANY IS WORTHLESS! North Ridge California
I have a rental home. My tennant called to tell me the drain for the washing machine was plugged. I called AHS -
They said someone would be out there the next day. My tennant called me a few days later and said no one ever showed. I called AHS - they appologized and said someone would be there the next day. No one showed.
I called again - they said it would be a week before someone would get there. My tennant called me a couple weeks later. Someone showed but wouldn't do the work because he would have to get on the roof to fix the prob. He said his company does not allow that.
I called AHS - They said someone else would go out there with in 3 days. My tennant called me back 1 week later - you guessed it ---- no one showed.
It's now almost 2 months later. The customer service (all of them are way incompetent 6th grade drop-outs)said they would fax an emergency work order to a plumber. I got the plumbers number.
The next day I called the tennant. no one showed.
I called the plumber -- AHS never faxed them a work order. I finally made the rep keep me on the line while I supervised her to get the work order faxed.
I called the plumber myself after the I hung up with AHS. They told me AHS plays games with its customers to frustrate them hoping they'll give up and pay for the repairs themselves. -- I suggest you save your money and sanity. AHS charges about as much per year as you would normally spend on repairs yourself. It's not worth having to deal with this rip off company and its rude, idiotic customer service.
