Complaint Review: American Credit Educators - denver Colorado

My husband and I were waiting for the mortgage company to call us with a closing date for a home that we had already began packing for. We got a called and were told that the loan could not be approved because of a debt for $300.95 that was 180 days past due with american credit educators. We have never received anything from them. I have disputed it several times on my credit report, and added a comment regarding having no knowledge of the initiation of the debt. It continues to haunt us - I agree everyone that has been a victim of this scam need to be involved in a class action suit against ACE.

Vicki, Start by disputing this with the credit bureaus, Trans Union (www.transunion.com) Equifax (www.csccredit.com or www.equifax.com) Experian (www.experian.com). I have posted on this site my story several months ago. I had experienced the same problems as everyone else with this company. I had read a comment from someone on the website to take legal action against this company. So what I did is to contact the BBB of the state of Colorado and filed a complaint. I also contacted the Attorney General of that state to file a complaint and I appealed to all of the credit bureaus to have this information removed. In the end the information was removed after several months of waiting. It is now cleared, I am keeping all of the documentation just in case but my advice is to contact the state attorney general and the better business bureau. You can find this information on the web. Maybe if enough people complain and file with the attorney general office.

I received a collection letter regarding an account I had no knowledge of. I called the toll free number on serveral occassions to find out exactly who the company was. I have never talked to anyone nor has anyone ever called me back to answers any of my questions. The letter was addressed to "Vicki Maneyo" which is not my name so I called to see if there was a mistake. No response. This information has been reported to the credit bureau as non payment. I am at a loss as to what to do. After reading the other letter I realized this is a scam. I hope someone does something to correct this horrible situation.

I have several clients that ACE have affected their credit by reporting erroneous information.. stating they had lates every month for four years or reporting lates after bankruptcy.. imagine what this does to one's credit.

I have experienced the same information on my credit report from this company. I received my report last summer with the names of both United Credit and American Credit Educators in the amount of $400.00 each. I contacted the company to no avail but the credit bureau dispute removed only the United Credit debt because they were the same company. I was going to pay it off to remove it since I am trying to buy a house, but I will dispute again with the credit bureau instead since I am not alone. I also was supposed to be building credit with their program and never used the card but was told I charged $400.00. I have not been able to figure out what to do. I will write to my newspaper and file with the BBB and whoever else I can think of.

I to have been through the same mess with this company right down to the wrong name on the credit report as well as the $300 charge they claim that I owe! I have tried and tried to contact the company with no luck, I get the run around everytime! I am on my 3rd!!! yes 3rd dispute with them through my credit reporting agency, and I just got another nasty letter stating that its my 3rd time disputing them and they will continue to ruin my credit untill its paid. I never opened an account with them and its beyond me how they got my information. The card that was issued, which I never got, never had anything charged to it either, and they claim that I owe this debt. I want everyone that has dealt with this to please contact me because I want this company closed and put out of business. They obviously have messed with alot of people so lets get them!!!!!!!!

Hello, I am a victim of this company too back in 1999 Ace Visa c/o United Credit National Bank of South Dakota, They said they could help me fix my credit and sent me a visa card for one they put a totally different name on the card and I called them I did what they wanted inorder to change the name and they never did, they have that I charged 400.00 on this card and the fact is I have never charged anything on it and they totally messed up my credit on my credit report and for two this different name is on my report that I never used. They still keep harrasing me by mail, I have tried calling them all i get is the run around. So my Advice to anyone that wants to get this DON"T it is a RIP OFF.

As an individual you may feel helpless against these companies but know this theirs strength in numbers. By looking on this website you can see that you are not alone, why not reach out to those in your state or city that are suffering in the name of this company and sue them. Can't afford a lawyer? Go to small claims court and sue for the statutory maximum. SUE THEM FOR FRAUD!!!!! MAKE THEM PAY!!!! I think that as victims we should really ban together and contact one of the Judges like Judge Joe Brown, Judge Marian Milian or Judge Greg Mathis and sue them as individuals. Your state may be able to ignore the private outcry of one person but when you go public and demand JUSTICE and ACCOUNTABILITY it's almost like wearing a LOUD GREEN dress to a BLACK TIE EVEN. If you don't want to go on television go to your local Small Claims Court and sue for the statutory maximum they are committing fraud so SUE them for it and any other punitive damages that you feel you should be awarded. IF THE STATITORY MAXIMUM IN YOUR STATE IS AT THE VERY LEAST 3,000 AND YOU WIN ACE MAY HAVE TO PAY YOUR GROUP 9,000!!!!! IN THE END ACE MAY END UP PAYING 78,000 IT MAY NOT BE MUCH BUT IT SENDS A MESSAGE THAT WE'RE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT LAYING DOWN! EVEN IF YOU ARE THE ONLY PERSON FROM YOUR STATE THAT HAS FILED A COMPLAINT GO THROUGH WITH THE PUBLIC LAWSUIT!!!!!!!! DON'T JUST COMPLAIN.....TAKE ACTION....ACE IS PROBABLY LAUGHING AT US BECAUSE THEY KNOW ALL YOU CAN DO IS COMPLAIN....IN MY CASE I HAVE CONTACTED THE FTC, ATTORNEY GENERAL, UPS...SEVERAL COMPANIES AND EXPLAINED MY SITUATION WITH THEM AND ALL THEY CAN SAY IS WAIT...THEY WANT US TO WAIT WHILE OUR CREDIT IS BEING RUINED...OUR LIVES ARE BEING DISRUPTED AND ACE GETS TO SIT COMFORTABLY WITHOUT A SWEAT ON THEIR BROW. I WILL SEND THIS LETTER TO EVERY TELEVEISION CHANNEL THAT HAS AN INVESTIGATIVE TEAM AND EVERY NEWSPAPER....I WILL BRING ATTENTION, FIRE AND HEAT TO AMERICIAN CREDIT EDUCATORS OR WHATEVER IT IS THEY CALL THEMSELVES JOIN ME AND GIVE THEM THE SAME HELL THAT THEY ARE GIVING YOU!!!!
