Contacted All My Sons on 7/31/08 for immediate move on 8/1/08. Company guaranteed the move would occur 0n 8/1/08 within specified timeframe and that movers would be professional and "hustle". Sales representative claimed they prided themselves on their professional movers and that their movers "do not just stand around and waste time talking to each other." Also guaranteed movers will "hustle".

Was guaranteed a time frame of 12-5 p.m. on 8/1/08. Received confirmation telephone call on 7/31/08 that guaranteed timeframe would be 12-3 p.m. instead of 12-5 p.m. On 8/1/08 12 p.m. came and no movers. 2 p.m. came and no movers and no phone call of status. Called to find out what status was. Ambrose answered and told me that because it was raining there was a delay and that the movers do not move in the rain.

He seemed a bit put off and rather rude at my inquiry. I asked "So, there will be an hour or two delay, correct?" and he replied "Yes 1-2 hours". 5:15 p.m. came and still no movers. I contacted the dispatch office and suggested that since they were running late and per Ambrose ran into a "crazy" situation that they could push off the move to the next morning of 8/2/08 as long as they could guarantee I would be the first move of the day.

I was not given a "Thank you for your patience and understand" nor a "Thank you for working with us". I was told the movers would be at my house between 8-9 a.m. The movers showed up on 8/2/08 at 8:45 a.m. They would not attempt to pull into the driveway because some branches of a tree were in the way. We moved into the house we requested All My Sons Moving to load our furniture from 4 months earlier inhat w an 11 foot tall U-haul truck and had no problem pushing past the branches.

However, we did not try to prod them and let them keep the truck in the street. The house we were moving from was two story and we were going to an apartment on the 3rd floor. We put as many things as we could on the first floor to make it easy for the movers. They were very slow at loading the truck -- taking leisurely strolls down the driveway with our belongings. No promise of a "hustle" in sight was made. There was a gate for the movers to go through that was 2 feet tall. They complained and wined about the stairs as well as having to lift anything over the two feet fence.

My mother and fiance even helped move items into the truck for them! It took them until 11 a.m. to load the truck and then they had no idea where they were delivering to. My mother and fiance had to have the movers follow them to the new residence. Again, they were very slow unloading and complained with every trip how "hard moving is" and that they "don't get paid enough to move up 3 flights of stairs". They were moving so slow that my fiance worked out a system with them to just drop the furniture at the door and that he would bring it inside.

It still took them 7 1/2 hours for a 2 bedroom apartment that did not have full rooms of furniture. I called the Customer Service line that I spoke with when making the appointment and got transferred to the manager "Chad" of the Orlando satellite office. He was very rude and unhelpful and accused me of only having an issue of when the bill was presented. I also spoke with the owner Ambrose who relayed the same attitude. Both manager and owner said to me "They are moving, aren't they?" and did not seem to care for my side of the story, backed up the movers, and made multiple excuses.

The movers took the most difficult route to take things out of our house after we told them otherwise and took furniture apart that did not needed to be taken apart. Additionally, they continuously dropped our furniture on the ground and folded our queen size matress in half when loading into the truck. I contacted the Sales Rep Christina multiple times throughtout the move on 8/2/08 and let her know how unprofessional and rude the manager and owner were and how slow the movers were.

She tried to get me in contact with the appropriate people to state my case for resolution of which consisted of the manager of the Orlando satellite office, the owner of the Orlando office, and the supposed "Supervisor of Corporate Office" named Armando Gomez in Texas. I have left two voicemails for Mr. Gomez and have not heard back. I spoke with Christina's manager today who told me Armando Gomez is the "CFO" and "Supervisor of Corporate Office". I find it hard to believe he holds both roles and beginning to more an more supsect this whole company is one big scam.

The manager and owner have both been unreasonable and rude and a simple 2 bedroom move consisting of 1,000 square feet into a new apartment of approximate size should NOT have taken 7 1/2 hours to complete. On top of the ridiculous amount of time spent moving they charged a 12% "fuel surcharge" of which was not identified at the time of booking the moving appointment. Dispute has been filed with the credit card company in which the charge was filled to.

Desired Outcome Statement:

To be refunded for the 3.5 moving hours overage that were obviously drawn out into order to nickel and dime us for a move that should have taken no more than 4 hours. Additionally $116.10 was a last minute charge that we were not notified up front about which is a 12% fuel charge. This was not relayed by the Sales Rep - Christina. Was told a flat rate of $125 would the amount of time spent to and from the new placel. No gas charges were indicated or relayed. Therefore 3.5 hours at $125 should be refunded plus the $116.10 gas charge bringing the total refund expected to $553.60.
