AIG Travel AIG TRAVELGUARD is a total scam-- do not buy this.

A death is a death is a death if it disrupts a trip you must take whether for business or pleasure. So is a sickness. If you're sick, you're sick-- it should not require a doctor's note or a visit to the ER just to get what you paid for with an insurance company.

That is not so with AIG Travel. These sharp scammer type Insruance guys are not the AIG of old, before the company was taken through bankruptcy, and the ordeal with that Crooked CEO. This is not the same AIG it was, a company that at one time had a good reputation. And if you buy their TravelGuard insurance product and need it, you will find out why.

Allow me to share my suffering, so you won't have to feel the pain of being stung by a classic insurance scam, with limited terms and unethical claims adjusters reading scripts designed to make sure that you'll never get paid.

You will never get paid back on claims unless they fall into very limited types of situations-- I paid $14.00 to cover a $100 dollar flight on Spirit Air and it was sold to me online leaving the impression that it was a AIG TravelGuard is a complete Ripoffreport

They operate at but are booked through Spirit Air and maybe other airlines without letting you know it's AIG-- you don't go to the AIG site to buy the policy AIG Travel defense against paying-- Stay clear!!!  https://www.travelguard.com/aboutus/contactus/

I can't believe that this type of business is not ILLEGAL!!    they feed off people and dont pay out without a dr. note.  The site said they sold 76,000 policies that week and at $50 per policy, that is some good free money.  Because we all know they never pay out!!!    Very decieving and very unacceptable.    DISHONEST COMPANIES CONTINUE TO PROSPER IN AMERICA!!!   Law makers need to put hoat on companies like this that are stealing money from American travlers!!

No matter how many times you repeat the same text(I think I counted 3 times in your report alone), NO insurance company is going to pay a claim without proof. They are not going to take your word for it. If they did they wouldn't be in business very long.

If you have auto insurance and have an accident, they are going to send an adjuster to inspect the car. If your car is stolen they are going to want to see the police report. If you have travel insurance and say you are sick they are going to want proof in the form of a statement from a doctor. If you say someone died they are going to want a copy of the Death Certificate. If they didn't ask for this proof there is nothing that would keep people from lying just because they don't want to take the trip any longer.
