I will not start out my complaint by necessarily accusing Active Forever of being a "rip off" company, but I will say that they're a company that I believe warrants a...."Buyer Be Aware"....warning.  I am disabled, medically classified as an Incomplete Quadriplegic.  On July 1, 2018 I was looking to buy another stand up walker or Eva Walker as they're commonly known to better assist me in my attempt to rehabilatate, possibly be able to walk again.  So in searching the numerous websites, is how I came across Active Forever...not only did they have the Eva Walker I wanted but it was $250 less than other companies were selling their walkers for.

The walker that Active Forever was selling came in 2 versions, the standard and The Institutional, with the difference being the latter has a wider base to accomodate wheelchairs.  I mistakenly ordered the standard.  Once the package arrived it was signed for by an employee with the last name "Burgin" on I want to believe it was July 5 or 6th. it was opened, removing all the pieces we noticed that the walker I ordered the exact same wheel base width as the one I currently own...so there was absolutely no reason to assemble this walker. We repacked it in it's original container reached out to Active Forever to receive a return merchandise number, received it, schedule with UPS a shipping pickup and shipped it back on July 10th.  UPS online tracking never showed the package being shipped so UPS initiated a lost package investigation on July 18th....well later the same day, the package came back to me with no reason why, so I cancelled UPS investigations and on July 18th.

I reshipped the package a second time back to Active Forever.  What I later found out through an email from Active Forever was, the package was received and rejected it, sending it back to me through FedEx. the refund being denied due they're claiming the walker was deamaged...Now here's where I feel the....Buyer Be Aware....applies, in their email it clearly states that they sent the box back to me using FedEx, which was true, they went on to say the box was signed for by someone named....Burgin...on July 18th. this person did sign to receive the walker the first time when I received it back on the 5 or 6th of July, but he wasn't working on July 18th....so how did he sign for it on the 18th...I even asked "Burgin" how many times did you sign a receive receipt for this box, and he said just once in early July...why would he need to lie about how many times he signed for a package that I have in my possession, it wasn't like the package was signed for and came up moving after signed for it.  I believe someone from Active Forever got his name from the first receipt back on July 5 or 6th.  That's the kind of shady practice that buyers need to be aware of.

There's a UPS claim pending on the so called damaged merchandise.  Active Forever is claiming the actual frame is damaged, now in order for that to be true, the container as a whole would have been damaged and if that were true, UPS wouldn't taken and shipped something that was in a damaged container.  I have no clue as to why they would refuse to honor my refund minus the restocking fee because all I was going to do was go back on their website and reorder the correct walker which was a bit more expensive than the wrong one I ordered first time...I am truly disappointed because I liked a lot of the items they were selling, but after that....I don't trust them.
