On Sat. 10-02-04 I ordered a wig online from Ace Wigs. I paid extra for express shipping to receive the order within 4 to 7 business days. Once I printed my receipt, I noticed they overcharged me. The only way to get the amount they charged me was to add sales tax 3 times.

I immediately sent them an e-mail so they would correct this problem. I then followed up on Mon. 10-4-04 with a phone call to their customer service line and left a message regarding this problem. The full amount was charged against my bank account on 10-05-04. I have since sent many e-mails and have made numerous phone calls to their customer service number; with no response. (The order hotline phone number is for a contract company which only takes orders; they were of no help.)

It has been 3 weeks now since I ordered my wig, and have received no merchandise nor ANY response(other than the computer generated responce you get when sending an e-mail)

I have also filed two fraud claims with my bank Wells Fargo, against Ace Wigs and they are being quite helpful. Initially, on the first claim, they credited my bank account for the overcharged amount of $13.92. I have now filed a second fraud claim with my bank, and I believe they will credit back the amount and are going after Ace Wigs themselves...

This company is disreputable and should be legally prosecuted for fraud.

Having checked this customer's order, it appears that she was charged the proper amount for both shipping, sales tax, and the item ordered. Despite this, we did refund the amount she claimed as an "overcharge" to give her the benefit of the doubt, and subsequently we cancelled her order and made a full refund. Our company did nothing "wrong" here. At the time, we were located in California, and she resided in California. We are required by law to charge sales tax for purchases made by customers who reside in the state where we do business. This is certainly no reason to file a complaint. We did what we are legally required to do by charging California sales tax. Just one more example of a complaining person trying to ruin the good name of an honest company.
