As soon as I saw the letter my husband received stating that he had 2 outstanding balances for unpaid fines in pottowatomie county, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, I instantly replied "BS"! First of all, anyone from Pott. County in Okla. knows that the warrant officers here will call you on your cell phone, knock on your door, basically whatever it takes to get ahold of you.
If you are walking down the street, sitting in your car, riding in a car as a passenger, even pulled in a parking lot with your hood up trying to get your car started, the super helpful Shawnee police officers will run your name for any outstanding warrants. Secondly, my husband has been pulled over a few times for things like the always serious matter of "tag light out” (which was magically working again by the time we got home), so if he had a warrant they would have found it.
Not to mention, he was put on social security in 2016 for serious health issues including one leg being amputated, and we were told that the SS dept. checks for warrants as part of the approval process. I called the phone number they gave and left a voicemail letting them know they are mistaken and I will call the Pott. Co. Court clerk tomorrow to see what she can find. I googled the company name with "bs” added to the title, and this site along with other scam web sights popped up. In conclusion, these people are scum and I hope people take the time, or get help, to research ANY type of mail or calls from ANY type of company before giving ANYONE ANY of your hard earned money.
